Remarks
I had already heard about this college and many of my seniors have studied here and got decent placements. The environment of the campus and classroom is really good. I prefer this college over others in aspects like teaching, placements and a decent environment which we get in vit. Though its a very strict college in terms of rules and regulations.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum has changed from the next year I joined, but all I know is that it's not a burden at all. You just have to be sincere enough to attend classes seriously and that's more than enough. Some faculty members are really good, they teach you concepts that you might never ever forget. Some are very chill. But there are also some who don't like to see students happy, they won't give you marks even if you've done well. But as our college follows FFCS, which is a FULLY FLEXIBLE CREDIT SYSTEM, you can choose your faculty and time slots of the subjects available in the list.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Wells-Fargo, Microsoft, Adobe provide internship to students but there is eligibility criteria and tests for the same. If you get selected they are really good paying internships and also help you get experience in the field.
Placement Experience
You get eligible for placements after the 6th semester, provided you don't have any backlogs. Many companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, Adobe, etc visit our campus for recruitments. The placement rate of the college is very good. For ECE, avg package is around 5-7or8 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am an ECE student and got my admission under the 1st category. The fee structure for the 1st category is around 195000 rs per annum as tuition fees. You get a choice of taking hostel of your choice, it may be 2 beds, 3 beds, 4 beds, 6beds or even 8 beds now. But from the 2nd yr onwards you get the room according to your CGPA. In the month of March, hostel counseling happens where you can choose your room and roommates. For scholarships, you need to get under 1000 ranks in VITEEE.
Campus Life
Life at the campus of VIT is really good. There are 2 annual fests in our college. 1st one is GRAVITAS which is conducted in Sept-Oct month. This is a technical fest and the 2nd one is RIVIERA, which is conducted in the month of February. RIVIERA is one of the biggest fests by a college. The campus usually has many PDA guards who blow a whistle when you get too close with an opposite-gender person. VIT has one of the biggest libraries, and mostly all books are available there. Classrooms are good and clean, but only labs have ACs, not regular classrooms.
