My review of NITIE

My interest area matched. Many seniors and friends studied here. Good Package, GATE+CAT both. The application starts in March. Good- online onboarding was superb. Faced no issues in the last 1 year. Placement is 100% except for this year due to pandemic. Academics are chill. You get plenty of time to do things as per your preference. You dont get this opportunity in IIMs where academics are tight. Bad- as bad as any other top IIM. Nothing different like placecom gets all the top internships. Shortlist is random and unfair. Mainly FMCGs come. Very less consulting recruitment. Hostel amenities are not top-notch.

The course is chill, no academic pressure is there, courses are easy. Online exams made it easier. All courses are not useful as happens in any B-School. Faculty members are good in their field but not very highly qualified or impressive profile professors. Some are serious but some are nonchalant.

Too many companies for an internship. A stipend from 3L to 0. 100% get internship except for this year due to corona projects profiles in all domains. majorly in operations, bank finance, marketing, sales. Mine is in global supply chain management, procurement and material; management.

The company comes in Oct in 2nd year. Too many companies come. All get placed. The highest is 55L avg is 19L lowest is 9L. 100% placement. After my degree, I will do the job. Will see you later.

No fees hike. Even returned deposit and hostel fees. 2-year fees are the lowest in India after FMS. What else you need. ROI is as excellent as they say. Its Rs. 12.5 L for GATE people. Scholarships are there but not plenty. GATE people get a stipend of Rs. 12400/month. But CAT people dont. Also, their 2-year fees are Rs. 14.5L.

Due to COVID no fest till now. Books are available but not required. Amenities in the hostel are poor, broken washrooms and showers, not working washing machines and lifts sometimes. The wifi is bad. Classrooms are wow. Communities and forums are here to pass the time. Sports are also available.

Basic furniture is available. Meal is good in variety and quality. Registration is easy. No PG rented. Hostel far from the local train station. I need to spend 80 Rs to reach there by auto.

NO GD due to virtual mode, only PI. I don't remember all Qs, but suggest reading newspapers for current events across the globe. The process was to record the video answers and submit them on the app they provided. Dont remember the name. Studied B.Tech courses a little and newspaper. Also Qs like Why NITIE and all. This much is ok.
