Remarks

Best feature about college is that labs have printers in them, so you don't have to pay for the lab-files and project-submissions. College is good, campus is bit short but it makes up with the friendly vibe.

Entrance Preview

I gave the GGSIPU-CET-2010 and got a rank of 1631. I had choice of any college and any stream (except USIT) and I chose MAIT-CSE, because of it's shining placement records and in-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is a good course that reflects the GGSIPU-curriculum, which is practical-based. The course curriculum is uniform among all colleges under the university. It covers all the essentials needed to survive-&-thrive in the technical community. The course is also up-to-date with current norms and reflects syllabus of major post-graduate and placement-based examinations.

Internships Opportunities

The college demands a company-internship as part of the curriculum in third-year and for some streams provide in-house training. In-house training are paid, ie. you have to pay for them, otherwise you are free to pursue an internship anywhere.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are medicore with an average of 4-5 LPA package, which is among highest in the GGSIPU. Maximum that can go is about 7-8 LPA but that is for 1-2 extraordinary students or off-campus. Though the placement record is of 100% placements, and at least a 3-4 LPA package is guaranteed. Microsoft, Adobe, and sometimes Samsung are known to visit.

College Events

4

Techsurge and Mridang is the Annual Technical and Cultural Fest of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Rohini affiliated under GGSIPU.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Unable to comment as being an alumni, this must have been revised during these years. But the fee is comparable(even less) than the other private institutions of this tier. with sufficient benefits for economically-challenged. The free structure is very much feasible, but do consider this is a private institution hence, is more than the fee-structure of govt-colleges under the university.

Fees and Financial Aid

Monetary benefits are provided to those who are economically-challenged, and during first year of college, laptops are provided at an exceptionally subsidized rate (depending upon the percentage in your boards).

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I had friends in Hostel, as i wasn't part of the Hostel. Hostel rooms are shared, and some are very cramped. Some issues do arise often in hostel and internet facilities are limited. But many PG-facilities are available just outside of the college, which range from basic-to-luxurious depending upon the budget. The college has enough connectivity so you can get PG which is a little far-off to save rent.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are known to visit and coordinate events in the college even years after they have graduated. This provides for ample interaction with seniors and get career guidance from more experienced people.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is uniform and same across all colleges in university. It has appropriate standards which check all the basic-knowledge for the subject and must-know-essentials too. There happen to be 2 sessionals and 1 end-semester examinations with 2 practicals (internal-external), per semester. Hence the frequency of examinations with less-syllabus helps to prepare for the end-term without much effort and students learn rather than mugging-up.

Faculty

4

The faculty is trained, helpful and most have industry experience too. Research is promoted and projects are competed against each other at university level and provided support for future development if necessary. Some faculty is top-notch but some lack the industry-level-knowledge. Nonetheless all members are eager to help the students and improve the knowledge-base and improve.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
