Remarks
I've chosen this college as it's one of the top colleges in Pune and being an autonomous college, the college has a say in its curriculum which is industry oriented. Another reason is that it's close to my locality.
Course Curriculum Overview
I've taken up the mechanical engineering course as it was my first step towards becoming an automobile engineer, it will help me understand the basics principles of mechanisms. The teachers here are well qualified and have a master degree from a reputed college. There are 3 exams: Insem consisting of T1(written) and T2(online MCQ) and endsem (written), there is also a viva exam. Difficulty of exams are medium.
Internships Opportunities
You can get connected with the faculty for industry projects and patents from the second year. We have to do a compulsory internship for 6 months in the fourth year. Companies like Atlas Copco, Forbes Marshall etc give some industry projects. Projects like design and analyzing components, report and design study etc. You will get work experience which will be beneficial for placement as well as further studies.
Placement Experience
We have campus placements from the fourth year, we have to do a compulsory internship in the fourth year for 6 months. Various companies like Forbes Marshal, John Deere, Atlas Copco come to our campus. The highest package was 14Lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are various scholarships for quota students. You can get more information from the Student section regarding scholarships and financial help. The fees also depend if you are a quota student.
Campus Life
The college has a really big library and has a good selection of books, you will get a library card which is valid for 4 years. Various Techno-cultural events take place in the college like Vishwapreneur, Gandharva, etc. Being a student from Mech. dept you become a member of MESA. There are various students groups like Vishwaracers which I'm a part of and its really amazing experience, EDC, NSS, etc.
Interview Experience
Admission depends on CET or JEE marks. There is no such interview or group discussions for admission. Depending on the CAP rounds you'll get admissions. No preparations required. After the Cap rounds, you'll have to come to the college to confirm the admission.
