I'm Student of Bsc. 3rd yr Mathematics hons. @ Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya. This is the only central university in Chhattisgarh state. The campus is surrounded by all greenery and freshness. You can experience good plant diversity as well as see colourful butterflies very often. Addmission is entrance exam based , you need to qualify Ggv VET exam, It's exam form is generally released in month of April and exam is conducted in May but due to lockdown extensions it may postpone to 2 months further. Faulties are all PHD holders and highly experienced, they are also very friendly and supportive to students. The campus provides free access to limitless Wi-Fi which might attract you. The university is quite famous and reputed in entire cg state you can search more about it in websites like collegedunia and likewise.

I chose the course because I have keen interest in Mathematics and the university provides immense chance to explore the subject. The faculty student ratio is approx 1:5, in our department. They also hire ad-hoc teachers when required. The method of teaching is student friendly, I have experienced both online as well as offline classes and both were good. The faculties are Qualified and are published writers of several papers.Exam are according to schedule followed by university, Sometimes it starts a week later of the scheduled exam calender. Exams are not that difficult it you attend classes and have proper notes you will score very high.

No internship opportunities as per my knowledge in my course. You can apply off campus. Many students from btech do internships. However you can apply for many workshops like mtts nbhm which are being conducted from time 2 time, you will learn alot with this

There is no campus placement facility here. Even in tech courses, it is not so good. However, the students are guided to clear many competitive exams. you need to apply for off campus if you want to be placed. Im currently preparing for govt. Jobs

Fees is very nominal, you can even pay by the scholarships you get. St/sc/obcs are provided scholarship upto 10000 per year. While every eligible Candidate can apply for Central sector scholarship. Dean Student walefare schemes provides scholarship in 11 categories which include excellence in studies, sports, social services.

Every department conducts its fest separately. They are conducted usually during december-january. University also conducts sports events at that time. The various societies are Tarang for music, udaan magzine , abhinartan is dance group, Urchins is drama group. The college has a central library which has all kinds of books, no need of purchasing any book for your courses you can issue it from library. Departments has its separate library too.

The entrance exam is known as GGU VET which is mcq based test. Syllabus covers 11th and 12th topics. Deeply studying ncerts is enough for clearing the exam it is not as difficult as JEE. You can apply for it online. The exam is conducted after you are finished with your board exams
