Remarks

The college life was mostly chilled and had a overall good experience in this college.

Entrance Preview

MHT-CET examination score is required to enter this college. I scored 92 of 200 which was pretty low, but i got into this college because of christian quota. for general quota people 120 above score is required.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is the same as given by Mumbai university. This college is not the best in terms of research. There is hardly any new research going on. Although you can start something on your own and get help form college management and the faculty. As far as the curriculum is concerned, there is nothing different as given by Mumbai university and generally no professor is able to complete the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

No the college does not provide any internship programs. Although you can take internship on your own and inform the teachers about it. This internship will be taken as your final year project.

Placement Experience

3

Placements if compared to other colleges in Mumbai are good but only it companies come in campus and there are hardly any opportunity for EXTC branch. Pool campus takes place for TSEC, Watumal and XIE. Companies like Lnt, Accenture, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Bnp, OFSS, Etc come for placements.

College Events

4

We had Technical, Cultural and Sports festivals in our college. The festivals were the best time to be in college the responsibility for organizing the festivals were given to the students with very low intervention of the faculty elections were held for the respective festivals secretary's.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is comparatively reasonable if compared to other private colleges. The fees are generally increased every year in name of inflation but that happens in all colleges in Mumbai University. The management was understanding for those who had a low income and gave them time to pay their fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarship was available but only form TATA institute. No other scholarship programs were available.

Campus Life

2.5

A lot of parties were organized every year like freshers party, farewell party, garba, etc. Also days like rose day, traditional day, etc a re celebrated. The crowd in the college is good and there is balanced sex ratio in the college. College picnics were organized for the volunteers of the festivals. This picnic was free of cost.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No hostel facilities is available in the campus for all outstation students it required to arrange their own accommodation. generally people had taken rented flats in nearby buildings. The canteen had decent food and also good food was available outside the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes all the seniors are helpful in the college they provide their old books and notes for free. There is no such community you can go to but you can talk to the seniors without any hesitation.

Exam Structure

Exams were only the ones directed by the Mumbai university. No other exams were conducted so the atmosphere was pretty chilled out and also sufficient preparatory leave was given before exams. Lab examinations and viva were taken seriously by the college.

Faculty

2

The faculty is also average they are not very strict in terms of attendance which is a good point. Still they require some minimum amount of attendance. The teaching standards of most of the professors are below average, but there are a few good ones too. The teachers do make an attempt to teach and all the teachers are at least there to help the students.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
