College for learners.

The college management is a bit money greedy they work mainly for money.

IPU CET. Guru gobind singh indraprastha university common entrance test. Well i had opted for many others. But the availability of the course of B. Tech civil and distance of college from my home made my choice also IPU is a renowned university to learn from.

The course takes in account all the importamt needs from basic S.O.M to Structural design. Also there were vocational trainings of Auto CAD STAAD Pro and 3DS max. Also several visits were arranged to site for real knowledge. Survey camps were conducted as well. The electives available to us were merely three because teachers were not available for others. We chose Forensic and Rehabilitation as our choice.

There is a scope of training available in the college though for which certificates are provided. The survey camps were also a great opportunity for learning and training. The stipend scheme is not really available in the college.

Not that good in placement matter we as civil engineers were placed in Infosys. Although that's a break but the field is not our core. Placement is good for IT and Cse though. The mechanical engineers were too placed in Yamaha motors. But the civil placement is really bad. The reason for this may be that we were just the second batch of civil in the college and think with time the condition will improve.

The college annual fest is there named as INNOVIZ. In this event a lot of interesting activities are arranged and accordingly prize and certificates are given. Also there is annual fest in the university named ANUGUNJ. Sports meet in the university is also held.

The fee structure is expensive as compared to other college. But it is not that much which makes it not feasible. The fee structure consist of apx 1 lac per year which makes it apx 4 lac per year. For each additional activities the students are charged separately although a industrial ready initiative value is taken in fees. Ist year fee 1 lac 5000 apx, 2nd year is same as ist year, 3rd year it is 97562, 4th year it is 95062, The books are provided from the library book bank and they are to be returned at the end of each semester the fee consist of a refundable 5000 at the end of the year.

Under news u can get scholarship if u are economically backward and can prove that u need to fill the news form each year and have to present yourself in-front of a committee to be eligible to get the money under the scheme.

The gender ratio is even. Civil is mainly occupied with boys but for other streams it is evenly matched. The introduction of the new canteen and the juice corner is good for having parties. From time to time there are competitions arranged in the college. The students are really very good and are friendly although most are indulged in their own groups but are really helpful if u want some.

There is no hostel facilities in the college the surrounding areas have some pgs where you can stay but the area is not that good u should take the place in somewhere else if u can the canteen is not that good the food taste is really inconsistent.

Our alumn network was limited to our only senior batch the senior students were though helpful u can connect to them freely ragging is strictly prohibited in the college and no one really gets involved i such activities.

In each semester there were actually two sessionals which had a weightage of 25 in the overall marks and considered as internal. The rest 75 marks were given on the basis of external exam which were conducted in other colleges. Each day had 8 periods with a lunch time of half an hour. The day were quite hectic. Although the division of batches had some free time for some group. Other than externals there were internal and external practicals. Where we had written test and vivas.

After the declaration of result and rank i visited the dwarka campus on counselling date and selected the seats available on a rank wise choice procedure. the process has been now changed to online counselling. then i had to pay the counselling fees at the university and the difference amount had to be paid at the college where i selected the final seat. and thus my admission got confirmed.

Some are really good. But some teachers are there who have knowledge but dont know how to deliver. The HOD is supporting. Although teachers are good but there is a lot of room for improvement. The SD teacher was good and all the teachers were supportive except some who were arrogant. The lab assistant of some subjects were more knowledge than the teachers. Well that's a humor. The condition of the college has increased for betterment a lot after the director changed.
