Remarks

VIT is autonomous since 1983, one of the first autonomous colleges in Pune. I got admission on the basis of MH CET score. Placement is better than other Colleges. Also, other exposure to sport/art and technical events are quite well.

Course Curriculum Overview

As a technology enthusiastic I think its best field to learn both programmings as well as about hardware. The student-faculty ratio is 10:1. Mostly all faculties have done PhD from a reputed university and they have more than 5+ years experience of the corporate world also. Term exam was 2 a semester and it was easy.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 127000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Role depends on a branch to branch and it's completely students choice in which field he wants to do an internship. Also, the stipend is a varied company to company. Few pay 35k/month for an internship while there is some free internship also.

Placement Experience

6th semester, almost every company in India visited our campus including Google, Nvidia, Infosys, credit Suisse, TCS The highest package was 19.5 lakh and the average is 6 lakh. 80%-90% get placed who sat foe placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike was 10% every year for a new grad. You have to pay some fees for all 4 years and coat to study was 127000/year. If you come in any category other than General then you have to pay fewer fees according to quota.

Campus Life

There are two fests. Vishvotsav and Melange. Vishvotsav is intercollege and conducted in the month of Sep-Oct. Melange conducted in Feb-March. Lots of books on all topic available in the library. All sports and extracurricular activities conducted. Team Taurus- Go-kart team. Veloce racing and lots of other clubs are there.

As out batch is of 2024 Covid batch there has been no such placement occurred but after that the ratio has increased

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
