Entrance Preview

I had given IIT JEE, AIEEE, UPTECH and IPU CET exams I didn't got through JEE and in AIEEE and UPTECH I was not getting good colleges.I got 10k rank in IPU CET and got HMR in first counselling and NIEC in second counselling. I opted for this college because i heard faculty was good, placements were good and i saw the infrastructure it was good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Syllabus for all the colleges affiliated to GGSIPU is same.Hence,Course Structure is same. But In fourth year there are some elective subjects like there is option between Network Security,Compiler and ERP in Computer Science Branch. For First Year there is no option.Same subjects are taught in all the streams,In 2nd and 3rd Year Subject depends on your stream, there are no elective subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Our college doesn't provide placement for paid internship but industrial internship is available after completing 2nd year. For enhancing technical skills.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is better than the average colleges. But No Product based company comes for IT.Service based companies like Infosys, Accenture, Capegemini comes and average package they offer is 3.25 Lakhs. For Mechanical placements were not good. And ECE and EEE mostly got selected in Infosys and joined Infosys. Some of the companies that came for placement were Infosys, Aricent ,HCL, InfoGain, Capegemini.

College Events

4.5

Every year college organizes 3 functions-Freshers Party, Techno Cultural fest and farewell party.Freshers is organized by management in collaboration with the seniors. Techno cultural fest is organized by all the students who volunteer and coordinate funded by the management.Fest is organised for 3 days and is very good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. But they increase the fees twice during my program. It was 90k in first year then it got increased to 1 lakh per year. I paid 4 Lakh fees for 4 years approximately .Every year you have to pay around 1 lakh fees for educational fees and library book bank. All the books required are provided by the college and needs to be return after completion of year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there was no loan facility available from the college. Also no scholarship was available.Students took loans from normal banks and still paying the loan,Because interest rates are very high and it gets very difficult.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is very good. There so many sports facility available there is a cricket/football ground, badminton, volleyball court .And for indoor activities there is TT,carom, chess available. Every student can engage to multiple societies available like there is manch theater,Fashion society and dance society-Dazzlers.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

there is no hostel facility and no mess. There is a canteen which is average .You can have samsosa, tea, noodleschole bhature, chowmin, etc and ther is a beverage corner as well where you can get ice tea, cold drink, juice, sandwiches, maggi, etc and there is a juice corner also which provide juices and milk shakes.

Alumni/Alumna

There is alumni network but its not very effective. We mostly catch up on facebook and all the notifications are sent to us via mail. But still its very helpful.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is hectic because there are 2 minors and 1 major in a semester. That means exam after every month. But you can pass with flying colors if you study previous years. Exams are easy. Every year there are around 10-12 subjects and scoring in labs increase the percentage. The minors are held in college and for major you get a centre that is also an institute of GGSIPU.

Admission

I gave IPU CET exam in June and I got rank as 10090. I went for the first counselling i got CSE in HMR institute of technology. That college was not very good and I was waiting for second counselling. In second counselling I got Northern India Engineering College.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty members are very good,Director Dr. GP Govil is very humble and supportive. In CSE department Mr. Achin, Mrs Tanvi, Mrs Pinky Yadav, Mr Sourabh helped me alot in projects and routine studies .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
