Remarks
Firstly I choose this college because of the big name of Mukesh Ambani because the college is owned by Mukesh Ambani. Currently, I am in my 3rd year in Chemical Engineering and my department is pretty good. PDPU provides a lot of opportunities for research, co-curricular, and cultural activities. For admission you we have 3 quota i.e., for general (35 percent seats), for Gujaratis (50 percent seats), and 15 percent for NRIs. For general you need to clear JEE and For Gujrati you need to clear ACPC and then you have to apply for it and you will be selected on the basis of merit list and by counseling. The only backdrop of PDPU is their fee because their fee is too high for an undergraduate course.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the Chemical department, we have nice labs which play the most important factor in your placement because all practical knowledge can be gained by labs only. Apart from that, they will provide contact with faculties and if you have any doubt then you can reach them. Faculties are also good if students are dedicated then they will definitely help you as best as they can. We got our schedule for a whole year in the starting thus all the exams and events follow this timeline very strictly. It is not that hard in getting passed in exams we just have to start to buckle up things 2 or 3 weeks before the exam.
Placement Experience
Students can seat for the placement from 7th-semester onwards. Everyone has thier different requirements in placement so we cannot comment on the eligibility of students. In Chemical before covid, we have a placement percentage of around 80 percent with an average of 6 l.p.a. and the highest placed student hot 18 lpa in 2019.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is too high in PDPU. I am from the general category and nonresident of Gujrat and I pay almost 4 lakh rs per year for my both living and academics. We can also get a scholarship but for that, you need to be in the top 6 students of a class in which everyone can apply and the other one is the MYSY scholarship by gov. of Gujrat for Gujaratis.
Campus Life
The co-curricular stuff of PDPU is awesome we have a campus area of 100 acres with a playground for every sport volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, kho kho, kabaddi, Badminton, and much more. We have completely air-conditioned classrooms with projectors in them. We have 4 major fests with a footfall of thousands in numbers and alot more small events organized by student clubs. As a personal experience it feels like every 2 or 3 days there is something that is going on in the college. We also have general, medical and stationery stores on the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is super clean plus we have a lan connection in every room for internet. Hostels are also too costly here. All the rooms are air-conditioned and you have to pay an electricity bill which not included in the hostel fee. In mess, we get 4 meals in a day breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner. The food is kind of decent.
