College of Engineering Pune is one of the premier institute in India which is imparting quality education for the last 160 years. It is Asia's 3rd oldest Engineering college. It is situated at the center of the Pune, can say at the heart of the Pune. Pune railway station is very near to the college. Pune international airport is also near to COEP. COEP is a government Engineering college hence it accepts CET scores for admission. The main reason for choosing this college is the environment we get in colleges like COEP is very very different from other colleges. Here you can shape your personality.

From my childhood, I dreamt to make my career in the research and development field. Metallurgy and materials science is the field where you can see so many opportunities in research areas. And another reason for choosing this college is, I like Metallurgy. Before choosing your branch you must study its curriculum. The faculty is very good at COEP. In my department, there is a total of 30 teachers including research scholars. Most of the facilities are Ph.D. holders. There are 2 tests (known as T1 and T2) and End semester exam.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. In one year around 200+ companies visit COEP. For Metallurgy, there are 15-20 companies. The main companies which recruit Metallurgical engineering graduates are Bharat Forge, reliance, Kalyani, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, JSW, Vedanta resources, and many more. In 2020 the highest package was 32 LPA and for Metallurgy it was 10 LPA. If you consider overall college's performance then the placement percentage is 85% and for Metallurgy it's 80%.

As compared to other private colleges COEP demands very few fees. Every year college increases college fees by 10%. Maharashtra government provides various scholarships for students. With these, some private companies also give scholarships to needy and talented students. This means if you have caliber then there are many chances or we can say opportunities for you in COEP.

There are mainly 3 fests and gathering in COEP. First is Mindspark which is a Tech fest of COEP, then impressions which is a cultural fest of COEP, and last one Zest-it is a sports festival of College of Engineering Pune. Students participate in these events to enhance their public skills. The gathering is organized by the college but all managing committee is comprised of Students and 2-3 faculty mentors. We have a very big College library at COEP. Classrooms are in good condition. COEP is known for its extra curricular activities, there are more than 30 clubs in COEP.
