My LPU Experience

Lovely Professional University was the best thing that had happened to my life, from there I learned the ways of living, I interacted with the students from various cultures and various countries. That led me to know about different places and peoples.

I had taken AIEEE in 2008, and since I didn't get any NIT so I opted for LPU. Admission procedure was very simple, all the staff helped in getting the admission done easily in overall it was a good experience.

At LPU you will get overall knowledge along with the practical knowledge. They will also provide you the theoretical knowledge. The class tests, assignments and all other things were well designed to make the student well verse with the course. Details of course were shared with us at starting of course,so that student can get everything. Details of every lecture were shared through UMS.

You got many chances of internship from college, I had worked with three live projects one for the COCA-COLA , 2nd for VIDEOCON and the third one for HERO ELECTRIC. Since university made us to access the corporate directly, I had three offers in my hand at the end of course.

Almost every student from my batch got placed and we were very happy. The package stated from 1.8LPA to 9LPA. Companies were Coca-Cola, Pepsi co, Banks, TCS, Blue Dart, TCI and many more which visited at my time. The placement staff was very co-operative.

I was very much involved in the events, Many workshops we had enjoyed, Gyan Manthan, Business Stimulation Program, games, extra activities were also the main reason to enjoy over there. The events were of bigger stage, Coke Studio, Euphoria and many others had performed at campus and we had enjoyed.

At that time fee was 58000/semester, and that were a huge amount for me as a person from middle class, but now it doesn't seems so much to me at present I am getting approx 45k/month and it seems a good value for my education now a days it doesn't seems that I have paid that much fee to university.

At our time scholarship was not there but, after our batch scholarship was introduced and that helped many students. Loan facility was available from every bank, so it was not that much difficult.

Gender ratio was good in university, there was no sexual discrimination, The basics of university was to build unity in diversity, and was successful in that. Extracurricular were good, we had good labs, a big library, good grounds and database was also good.

Hostel facilities were good, Study room was there, security was there, 24 hours electricity was there, all the basic needs were there. My hostel rent was around 45000/p.a. and P.G. was costing at around 5000/month i had always preferred hostel and I was happy with all experiences there.

At the time I had passed out the alumni network was not that much strong, so there was no question of help. But these days university people is taking care of its alumni and we always have a chance to interact with our juniors.

The exams were made to access the overall knowledge of the student. There were different set of questions, like small one , big one and bigger one. and the questions were always there from the curriculum. There were practicals and theories that were made to judge the overall student knowledge.

I went directly to the campus for admission, some of my friends had already taken admission there, so I was well versed with all the admission procedures earlier the people from university had been there to my city, I had inquired about the course there and then I got the good choice and made my mind for the course I pursed.

The faculty assessment was very easy. Every time you can access the faculty over there if you are having any problem. Since I was living in hostel so I was more luckier,I got the chance to access the faculty in the hostels also. The professors were very helpful.
