Remarks

Situated in my home town plus IHM Lucknow is among the oldest and renowned in hospitality studies.The faculty was also very knowledgeable as told by one the passout of this college who was my relative.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is competly outdated. We had to go through 17 weeks of idustritraining. There are enough faculty having thorough knowledge of the subject and here each faculty acts not as a teacher but as a facilitator and guides us whenever and wherever needed.

Class Size: 15Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Placement Experience

The 3rd year i.e from the mid of the 5th semester the placement starts.Various companies such mcdonalds,hyatt,oberoi,marriot,fassos,Dominos,Taco bell,concentrix etc participate in the campus placement.

College Events

There were many extra curricular events organised by our college for various students interested in various fields such as culinary events etc. During the classes the faculty gave us the situation and asked us to give solutions through role playing.

The curriculum is more inclined towards a theoretical side and lacks practical exposure. In the present scenario, having practical knowledge is a must if you want to survive in the industry, which my college didn't prepare me for. However, there are various opportunities across the campus. We have AIC inside the campus, which may offer an internship to the students if they reach out to them.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year you are eligible for placement sheat in college. The highest package was 1.5 cr approx and average 7-8 lakh. Percentage of students to get placement should be around 1/4 of overall students means . I will apply for both on campus and off campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.

Placement Experience:

Actually we do internship in apex hospital and we have 100% placement. We have 100% placement here every year students get job in apex hospital and also in other places. But so such companies or anything come for placement. Average package is 5 lakhs per annum. After getting degree I will prepare for Norcet exam .

This college was not not my first choice I want to go to ihm bangalore but I didn't get it in first counseling and after in second councelling I got ihm lucknow and when I searched about it was good also it was near to my hometown that's why I choose this college, i didn't got rejection from any college. The admission process starts with the induction round in which those candidates are there who got ranking under 3000 in national exam for hotel management conducted by NCHMCT there is no age limit and the admission process takes only one day and it is in the campus....Read More

My little college

My first preference was this college only and after this The other preferences include IHM Delhi and IHM Mumbai. Since my first preference was this college IHM Lucknow and as soon as I got the confirmation I continued with it. I choose this college because of the popular celebrity chef Ranveer Brar also studied in this college. Since I see him as my mentor I applied for this college. No I did not get a rejection from other colleges since this was the only one college I applied to. To be eligible for taking admission in this college you first need to clear the NCHMCT JEE exam and after the exam you get a rank and based on the cutoff of different colleges you can apply for it. After that it is basic paper work and you can continue your college from there. My rank was 1400 and I was easily able to apply for the college. Even people with 9000 rank are there in this college woth their SC/ST category....Read More
