Remarks

Professors are very supportive. I opted this course because I am interested in higher studies. For BTech degree this college is good because their placement statistics are good. For those who want Mtech from CSE this is good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I felt that course syllabus is somewhat repeatation of BTech.It could have better. Industrial exposure is very less for mechanical engineering, forward other branches like cse, vlsi ece it is good.Faculties are very supportive.

Course Fees: INR 42000 per year

Placement Experience

Yeah reputed companies like TCS, Infosys,Lnt,Oracle, Tata visits the campus. MNC companies also visit.

College Events

Yeah every year there will be Technical festivals and you will get chances to so your technical abilities. Yeah many studens participate in that. It is very good and you will get more chances to explore yourself.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is not so good. sport facilities are good but not enough. You will get LAN connection in hostel but sometimes their connection is not giving enough speed. Library is average. Labs are also average.

Hostel Facilities

Yeah hostel facility is good. Every students except PhD scholars have to reside in hostel. There are separate hostels for BTech mtech and PhD scholars. You will get wifi connection in hostel. Sometimes it doesn't work properly.

Hostel Fee: INR 11000 per year

At the end of 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 1000 of company visit campus every year in January and December month. Placement takes place in two form one in December and other in January. Like IBM, puma, ICC bank, Deloitte, ABG, Lenovo, etc. highest package is about 2.68 crore per annum, average 15lpa According to different profiles. Students should have more than 8.5 cgpa for good placements. I will join a good company after completing the degree.

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
