Remarks

College is what a student makes of it every college provides ample opportunities and so does mine. I became a very talkative person from someone who was shy and didn't like socializing. There are many good points that I can discuss and similarly there are many bad ones too.

Entrance Preview

I had to appear for IIT JEE - Mains. Also, during my year and since, CBSE % was also taken into account and the final rank decided which college and stream we can get.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is better for newer course that were added later than the ones that are present since the college started. Many subjects are there which don't serve any purpose, but are there because older technologies used it. However, with the newer system now, all that has changed and there is freedom to select one's own subject, only the core subjects are compulsory for every student.

Internships Opportunities

College provides internship opportunities for 3rd year students. The process is an intricate one, and there are a number of interviews one has to face. The experience is enriching. The general stipend remains around 25-30k per month.

Placement Experience

5

College boasts more than 100% placement records every year. Our college is famous for producing top level coders. Last year 8 students got into Google. There are offers from around over 150 companies. These offers varies from being related to coding, to being related to consultancy in Bain or Business Analyst/Operations Analyst at ZS Associates, to being coders/software developers at Flipkart, Directi etc.

College Events

4

Our college has ample societies and each society has its own fest/summit. Other than that there is an intra-college fest Resonanz, and an inter-college fest Moksha. Many big celebrities, music composers, EDM artists, Stand up comedians etc are invited to perform. They also see participation from other college students for events like Fashion parade, dance off, music etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible considering the quality of education. Also, we are given many scholarships based on our performance, and we are returned almost all of our tuition fee if we score in the top 20%ile in the college. Also, students whose parents earn less than some particular amount are given some compensation. There are many loan plans too, that the student can pay afterwards.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides different scholarships every year, each stream students get their tuition fee and some rewards if they are in the top 20-25%ile of the students there are ample loan facilities by andhra band etc.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is good. WE have a lush green campus. It is around 150 acres in size, though most of it is unusable. Gender ratio has been improving but it is no where near the 50-50 mark. Extra curricular are plenty we have a society for everything. From a debating to a finance and another focused on entrepreneurship. We have a dramatics club, a dance club, and a music and fine arts club too.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel rooms are plenty. Even if someone stays 1 kilometer away, they can get a room the rooms are big enough to fir a single bed, a study table, an almirah and some other stuff. It will still have room to roam around and do some dance. The walls are boring but students have the liberty to decorate them. The mess food is okay, it is nothing brilliant but it does the job. During summers, there are no Air Conditioners, and the students are not allowed to bring their own.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are the key to everything in college from getting the notes to being prepared well for the exams, they help with everything they become our guide for things that are more than academics how to build a resume, what online courses to take, what competitions to participate in, how to organised fests, and most of all how to be a good friend.

Exam Structure

The exam structure consists of mid terms and finals. We also have around 4-7 practicals every semester which are based on our core subjects, and also coding. Mid terms usually have around 40-50% of the total syllabus, while end term consists 30% of the mid term syllabus. Practical have an internal viva, external viva, and we have to perform a practical in the final too.

Admission

To get admission, we first had to sign up for the online counselling. There was a pre planned table which told us when the counselling would proceed. On those dates, the ranks were updated on who could get what seat. As soon as the rank gets cleared and one could get a seat, I needed to confirm it on the website. After that, a mail told us the date on which we had to pay the fees. With it also came every other detail including refunds in case of admissions anywhere else. After reaching college, we had to pay our fees through DD or challan, and we were set for college.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty of the college is either too clingy and uses the power in a negative way against the students, or they are so good and inspirational that they motivate one to work harder. There are professors who are so good that their books are used as references at colleges like MIT, and then there are some professors whose voice isnt event clear on the very first bench.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
