Remarks

I chose for this college because it is one of the best colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, it has very good and experienced faculty, the distance is less from home. I opted for this course because I'm interested to give an output to the society from what I learn in the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is tough. But one can cope up with it if he or she is hard working enough. The faculties are really very helping and supportive. Especially, Dr Jisha John, Annie Dickson Miss of CS Department, Mr Deepak B and Remil George of Mechanical Department, Ms Sojy Rajan of Electronics and Electrical Department and Dr Savitha Nair(Maths), Ms Lakshmi J S(Physics), Ms Veena Nair

Class Size: 23Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Good placements are offered by this college. There are alumni working in LinkedIn, Microsoft, Google, etc. who come to the college to deliver motivational speeches. A mock interview is held before the original placement interview is held.

College Events

Hackathons and inter college technical presentations are held, with freshers as the audience, mostly. Quiz, and other events are also held with immense support and participation from both faculty and students. Art and cultural clubs hold their meetings and competitions and students participate in them actively.

Campus Life

Most of the sports are played by students in the campus, under the best coaches. We have well trained teams which perform well and win in Inter College Sports meets also. The library is good, providing books on any educational topic. An e-library also functions there. Equipment used in the labs are of good quality and are well maintained

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
