Remarks

Nearest to sealdah station (north) which allows me to reach in time to my college in time, good faculty, good facility,much available transport system, very well equipped laboratories,varities of subjects are available under one roof in various shifts.

Course Curriculum Overview

Not comparable to any college.very supportive faculty.they are not tired of giving anwser to our very foolish questions also. Ready to help at any time without any hindrance.they take frequent test to improve our skills and knowledge and to make us well aware of varities of question on a particular topic.

College Events

Surendrantha college has been celebrating and participating in each and every festival or cultural activities of every religion.they manage every cultural activities in our college auditorium or in our small college ground.

Campus Life

My college has a large central library where every student of every subject can get there concerned or required book. A large auditorium, which can accomodate about 150 students at a time. A canteen available every time.

Hostel Facilities

It has no hostel, but they trying to construct a hostel those who come from outside and study here.still not started.they have thought about it as well. Many mess are available around the college premisses at low prises.

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Likes

Campus is nice. There's greenery and all
SOME of the faculties are really good and those said teachers will actually look out for you and care
Mentors are appointed for each students who are responsible for their final year project, publications and LORs. If you are lucky, you'll get a good mentor.

Dislikes

Classrooms are less compared to the number of students. Students have to wander around the building after each classes to find seats. Classrooms are very dirty
There's literally NOTHING in the labs. Experiments take way long to prepare and perform because reagents and equipments are never available.
Hardly a 2 week summer break (because of MAKAUT). Students cannot even apply to good internships because no lab would take in external students in july or august.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Likes

I like the campus , it is quite huge and green , the canteen has both cooked and packed food available, a seperate common room for students and many sports equipment available. Several functions are arranged along with international conferences held
All the faculty members are soft spoken , knowledgeable and friendly, it is easy to find help regarding anything.
Professors are strict about their syllabus and subjects , paying proper attention to the students. Practicals classes are conducted without fail.

Dislikes

There is nothing as such that I disliked because I am a first year student so I haven't been so much involved yet , I think that the washrooms should be cleaned properly to maintain the hygiene apart from thjs everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects offered in the college as well as the minor and idc subjects are well adhered to the curriculum and future aspects. The subject combinations are apt and futuristic. It moderately prepares one for real world situations.

College library improvement like to very important because all student did not buying their books for thare financial condition to improvement college library some more books in available in library
College social improvement so good teacher student and principal college management are so good there is the no company about this some problem is happened but not a serious condition as well send every one is the helpful
Teaching method oneplus quality not a problem as well and senior student also helpful any problem they also solve any my education problem was solved educated any problem

Dislikes

Some senior student rudely behaviour on junior student and their ragging junior student like me improve
College management like to improve all student problems as soon as possible there is very getting some problems to solve this
Summer time student are dry condition and heat to like improvement to classroom condition to very cool

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation

Faculties are well trained and knowledgious
Boys girls ratio is 2:1. This college gives highest safety to girls
The campus offers number of games like badminton court, table tennis court and a large ground for cricket

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not very much good.
Other games like basketball court is brooen
The library is not having ac which creates a problem in summer

The exam is very difficult. Literally you can't copy a single answer and can't carry cheat in examination but this is applicable only for final examination. Well, you can cheat in semester examination . Improvement in teaching method - mic of the lecture theatre not work properly and too much echo

My experience was very interesting while pursuing my graduation in The Neotia University

Likes

The skill Development programs which we used to have ik every sem
The culture of the college, relationship with the faculties
Different cultural events, social events

Dislikes

Infrastructure was really bad, we did not have enough practical classes as promised
Library facility was also not good, not enough books for all students
I just got a placement with a CTC of 36k per anum. It was ridiculous to get a job with 3k salary after spending almost 3 lakhs. Also we had to pay separately for internships and all India tour which was included in the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

Likes

The admission process was very smooth, the administration board is very helpful.
The library is huge and the content of books is very good
College life and fests are good but not great

Dislikes

Placements are absolutely bogus. There were almost no good placements when i passed out part of it can be blamed on covid but mostly the college was largely at fault
Faculty was not upto the mark in regards to the hefty college fees we were charged
Even during covid online classes we were charged full fee which is again absolutely horrendous

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

First of all the placements are good. The teachers are awesome. The environment is sweet and any one can stay here very comfortably. Maximum students are very talented, hardworking and intelligent, everyone has a big aim in life.
The functions of the college at any event and at any fastival are very interesting.
The indoor games and outdoor games facilities available.

Dislikes

The building are getting old they should have to paint the buildings and decorate.
The hostel for PG students is not good specially for girls.

Placement Experience:

In M.Tech. the students are eligible for placements after second sem. The highest package is 56lpa giving by Microsoft. The average placement pakage for CSE is around 10lpa. 90 percent students getting placed.

Likes

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.

I applied for many college not only Surender nath I apply in Balurghat Kuwait college Siliguri college Raiganj University and Ashutosh college and also surendranath College where I am now study in. The reason of choice this college is the college is very good and there is no ragging issue even the college authorities are take strict action for ragging issues the professors are very good and their very caring and harmful and the college is to closer from Shailesh station where I can easily private for my home and college in under of the prestigious University called Calcutta University that's why I take admission in this college. I am not rejecting of any college where I applied but I choose surendranath because this college is suitable for my situations and I happy to study in this college. The process of a admission in our college is to apply online for the admission you should have 70% number in the subject which you want to take honours. I applied in many colleges like THK, bangabasi, jaipuria, maulana azad and many more. I chose this college because of its low fees and its less restrictive. And also its convenient to reach. One needs more than 50% percent to get admission in thjs college. Students with higher higher marks gets preference in admission. I chose this college because it was near my house. Actually during school I lost so much time travelling so I was very sure that I would choose a college near me.
