Remarks

As it is a top engineering college in Telangana state and it is also excellent with various resources, free to access the college equipment as it is government funded. The profeesors are highly qualified and college is also good in terms of sports and extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I already said, the college in terms of academics is excellent. The course structure is updated every year constantly with addition of new topics/skills. For example, at the time of our admission we have only traditional branches in engineering like CSE,ECE etc. Now, for our juniors, there are new courses like Machine learning, Artificial intelligence and Mechatronics. So,in terms of academics, there is a positive opinion on course structure of the college from all over the state. The faculties are very good, most of our profeesors are having phd from top 3 iits with 10-15 years of teaching and research experience who guide us to the research domain and in terms of industrial exposure, they are the one who bring different industrial experts to conduct webinars and training sessions and we are also incited to do internships or research in their industries.

Internships Opportunities

Sales engineer intern -3 months,5000 per month, Aspiration energy

Placement Experience

4.5

As the placement rate is 90% every year, many companies visit depending upon the branches. For example in March 2020,for mechanical department,a company named Medha Servo Drive conducted recruitment test for Mechanical engineers for annual salary of 4 lakhs and the results are awaited due to Covid-19. Many other non technical companies like Chegg also conducted recruitment tests. To be frank, our placement department do not request any organisation to conduct drives because our college name and fame make the organisation to recruit us because of our college popularity in research and producing high skilled students. Many international MNC's like microsoft also conduct placement tests and provide package of 28 lakhs(2019 stat). Our college alumni has a website where our alumni posts the internships and trainings by their organisation and they also help in conducting drives by their organisations. Entrepreneurship is not that popular in our College according to my knowledge. Though there is a entrepreneurship cell, most of my friends are not into it. So,I am not aware about this.

College Events

4.5

Campus life is so good that the students can balance their academics and extra curricular activities well. Students are free to go at any time to relax(except girl students) and girls have a limited outing time(hostel). And regarding technical fests, our college stands first in the state in terms of popularity. The fests are organised by students itself guided by mentors who are mostly our profeesors. The responsibility of conducting fests is given to us because the profeesors wanted us to expose to the outside world which helps us in improving communication skills. Large number of sponsors are interested to sponsor our fest. Nearly 20-30 organisations or industries sponsor the fest events for each department. They also conduct the events to filter the students for their research activities in R&D department.

Campus Life

Early this year, the university sports complex is modified and many state level competitions are held in our campus in all sport categories and our college is a champion in cricket and football in state level competitions (2019). Even there is a gym facility for students of our college which is free of cost and is available for 6 hours(morning and evening). Girl students have a separate gym area and play area and they are well equipped. And the library makes our college unique with its resources because that is how they are developed across the years. The university library is equipped with technical and non technical books where every student is free to access and if a student requires any new book, the student must inform the library attendant or any other official in library and the employee make sure that the book is available within 1 week of request. There is also a digital library with high quality computers and printers and the students are also free to prepare for any competitive exams starting from NTSE to UPSC. The lab is well equipped with instruments following new technologies which costs nearly 10 lakhs . I am not sure of other branch labs but in our mechanical department, the equipment is highly useful for research and the students can go at anytime to labs to improve their research and there will always be a lab assistant helping you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Pharmacy was the best option for Bipc students apart from MBBS. My main aim was MBBS,but unfortunaley i couldn't get it. Retail pharma, industrial, clinical had a huge scope which made me to opt for Bachelor of Pharmacy. Curriculum needs more practical knowledge to prove within the real time market. Improvement was much needed with research based programs as it was the major core area for pharma aspirants. Frequency betwween internal and external exams were too short.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course as I dreamt of becoming a doctor since I was a child. In our college, the faculty is good and are qualified enough. They teach the basic things and make us learn things in a clear way. There will be two internal exams, one prefinal exam in every year. Those with an average of 50% in internal exams are allowed to write the final exams. There is quite a difficulty in passing the final exam as there is a vast syllabus.
