An Unforgettable Memory

The administration department is lazy and WiFi facilities are unavailable but other than that, life in NSIT is an unforgettable memory.

I took JEE Mains exam after my 12th board exam. After JEE Mains' result I had many choices but I chose NSIT because not only it's one of the most reputed college in India but the environment, classes and infrastructure mesmerized me.

Curriculum of NSIT is more inclined towards scholastic assessment of students rather than research. Even though there are facilities available for students to research in any field.According to a new notice launched the curriculum syllabus is set to change every 5 years.

More than 100 companies including startups offer internship to NSIT students with average stipend of 5000 INR. Also an internship fair is organized every year in NSIT during college fests.

Almost every student in NSIT gets placed every year. Being a reputed college, many companies love to take students from NSIT with an average package of 4-5 lacs per annum. More than 250 companies including startup offer placement in NSIT. There is also a placement committee in NSIT and those guys are great and try to solve every problems that students face during placements.

Moksha- cultural festival of NSIT organized every year and extends for 2-3 days. Innovision - Technical festival of NSIT generally held alongside Moksha. Both festivals are one of the biggest festivals in Delhi and participants from all over are invited.

College fees - 80000 approx. Hostel accommodation and mess fees - 30000 approx. College and hostel fees vary every year. Fees is not way expensive but it isn't cheap either. It is fair to say that the fees is feasible as compared to other colleges and universities.

Scholarships may be available but I am unaware of them. I didn't avail any scholarships from college but some fees refund scholarships are available for students with distinction.

Gender ratio in NSIT is almost equal. Sports ground is really big and gym facilities are also available. Environment is really green and great for a morning or an evening walk. Also night life in hostel has its own fun. Every hosteller in NSIT will agree to that. Ragging is strictly prohibited in campus. Many societies are also there like BHR, Motorsports, Solar car society, IEEE, CSI etc for students to join according to their interests.

There are 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel in NSIT. Rooms in boys hostel are single accommodation rooms while 2 girls share a room in girls hostel. The food quality in mess is average. During exam week, Night mess facilities are also available. Boys are not allowed outside hostel after 10 pm while for girls, 8 pm is the deadline.

Senior students are always helpful and supportive. Be it class notes or placement doubts, seniors are always there for junior students. The alumni network of NSIT also helps us keep touch with all the alumnus and provides a platform to share their views and opinions. Also a alumni meet is held every year and all college alumnus are invited to provide their insights and help college improve.

There is a mid semester exam of 20 marks and end semester exams are of 70 marks. Remaining 10 marks are for attendance / reports depending on teacher. For laboratories, two practical examinations are conducted - internal and external of 30 and 70 marks respectively.

Almost every teacher in NSIT is dedicated to thier job and are an inspiration to students. They are frank and friendly. All teachers in NSIT encourage students in their every step and are true mentors in terms of research and study. Even outside the classrooms, teachers appreciate any extra effort and projects undertaken by students.
