Swami Gajjala's Review On St Martin's Engineering College - [SMEC], Hyderabad

EAMCET which is a common entrance test conducted by the Government of Andhra pradesh every year for admissions for B.tech courses in all the Engineering colleges with in the state. Once you qualify the test you will be allowed to choose the course and the college according to our score and rank that we secured in the EAMCET examination.

The course duration is for 4 years and the curriculum is fixed and very useful in order to survive in the current technological competent world. The facilities provided by the college was wonderful. The college had gym and sports complex.

There was no such internship provided during my course at college but we were give a stipend of Rs 10,000 every year from the state government based on the semester credit score and other curriculum.

There were lot of placement that took place during our course period. Few of them are TCS, Infosys, CSC, Genpact and other companies were part of our placement.

Technofest was a technical event organised by our college. Every college student was invited to participate in the technofest and gave a chance for each and every student who participated to showcase their talents and win prizes.

The college was listed under government monitor, so we had some sort of support from the state Government in the form of scholarship.

Our college had competitions very frequent through out our academics to get the best out of every student and was very encouraging in this aspect. Coming to sports we never had any rules for sports and there was a rule that every student should participate in at least one game either indoor or outdoor.

Seniors in our first year we had a fear for meeting them. After joining the college for about 4 months, our seniors arranged a party for the freshers and the reason behind it was to make us feel free and contact them for any kind of help from them.

Every semester had exams and every month we had mandatory internal examination to attend which the scores will be added to the final mark sheet.

The faculty was very professional and was always with the students for any assistance during our course at the college. Every professor was a post graduate in their discipline and some of them were pursuing their Doctorate in their specialization.
