Remarks

This is one of the best colleges in PCMC area. The faculty is diligent and lectures are conducted with proper preparation. The college encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities. The placement cell is also supportive.

Course Curriculum Overview

Currently the college is Autonomous and hence all the syllabus is based on the industry requirements. Companies like KPIT and TCS have provided their special syllabus to develop skills of students. Attendance is mandatory and any kind of indiscipline is not tolerated.

Placement Experience

Companies like Capgemini, Zensar, TCS, etc are bulk recruiters. RSCOE has signed MOU with Suns and Sands, a company that closely works on providing placements for those with Japanese proficiency as Japanese is one of the languages taught in college. Also, companies like Zensar have training facilities provided to students who clear their test, so that they are market ready.

College Events

College is more academic oriented. Still it supports all kinds of Extra curricular activity. Innovision a national socio-tecnical synopsis held every year to boost confidence of students. All forms of talents are given Platform in some or other form.

Campus Life

Campus is small but all necessary equipments are available. Praticals are conducted regularly. E-Yantra labs of IIT are also taken in college. Students are encouraged to have hands on experience. Virtual labs provided by IIT is also practiced by students.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules.
