Rahul Arora's Review On Maulana Azad Medical College - [MAMC], New Delhi

It is the best medical college one can get through NEET UG. It is one of the top medical colleges of the country, with est faculties, good infrastructure, good OPD load in associated hospitals and a good clinical exposure.

Course curriculum has recently been undated. It now includes preclinical subjects in first year, para clinical subjects in second year, and clinical subjects in 3rd year with horizontal and vertical integration in each year. Academics at MAMC are one of the best in india with some good professors in every department.

Medical colleges do not have campus placements. After MBBS, people go for entrance exam to their post graduation courses that is residency during which they work in the hospital associated with the college they are pursuing their Residency from.

Mamc in the beginning has loads of stuff to engage in. Starting right from a counselling session by seniors, societies orientation program then a 3 days intracollege fest called Goonj, Mamc dialogues and other various small events which are organized throughout the year by student campus organizations such as DOST, Gurukool, AMSA etc. In the month of March, an intercollege fest called synapse is organized which is a week long event. Apart from this, Hostel night and Lohri party are also organized.

Due to huge batch size, infrastructure needs to be compromised at times. For example we have cadaver to student ratio of 1:50 which in many other colleges is an impressive 1:8 or 10. Sports facilities are still developing but badminton court and basket ball court and gym can be found in the campus. Wifi is not available rather our own mobile network won't work in mamc campus. Equipments in labs are in good condition and fairly updated.
