Remarks

ItÕs has been ranked in the top 10 central universities in the India by Ministry of HRD. Being located in Delhi it provides huge lot of opportunities to explore. In my case, I was able to do internships in various districts court, High Court and also the Supreme Court which helped me shape my overall personality- Something students coming from class 2 cities or rural areas often lack.

Course Curriculum Overview

Law is a very versatile and dynamic course because of the changing requirements of society it also evolve. During course, we were given opportunities to participate in various Moot Court Competitions, Parliamentery Debates. Model UN (MUN) and other cultural events as well. I was blessed to have very learned and charismatic teachers. My favourite was Dr. Eqbal Husain who not only taught me Contract law but also casted a everlasting shadow of his morally strong personality on me.

Placement Experience

3.5

After Law, one can either opt for Litigation in courts or can prepare for judicial services or can work in Law firms.

College Events

4.5

Campus life was full of colour and life. Small roads in between tracks of woods. Pollution free zone as vehicles were not allowed inside campus. We had one huge closed auditorium for annual events and open air auditorium for fest, cultural events. MIRAAS which was the annual fest was celebrated all across the campus. And the convocation was organised in the Football field. Different departments organised their own fests in which students from all the dept. took part. Not to mention, the crown of the university- Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) which has been consistently performing in flying colours as far as IAS selections are concerned.

Campus Life

We had different departments for different courses. Some courses shared same building like Law shares its building with MBA which facilitated inter-course friendship. We had many amazing canteens like Maggie Point (my spot), Hygenic, Central Canteen. We also had a high class Sports stadium with all the Modern Sports Facilities. We also had two centrally air conditioning libraries and apart from that different facilities/ Dept had their separate in hours libraries. WiFi was available but unfortunately in specific locations like libraries and Admin. block, hostels. We also had Gym.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My father chose Law for me and he was influenced from the general mass that was opting law at that time. The curriculum of law is arbitrary, it is very far from how courts work and operate, the real life experince is hardly taught and the real courts and law can only be understood through internships and practice. There should be real practicing lawyer teaching the working of courts at least once a week or twice a month to prepare the students for what they are going to face in courts and companies. The exams were Moderate in difficulty.

The third year students can get themselves enrolled in the placement cell of SVC and then they can definitely get our opportunities being a political science student. My focus is not much on the placement, but the placement cell offers a lot of companies like Deloitte and students get placed as well, me and the other hand has a preference for government exams. I'll be preparing for that in future also for government exam prep. Also there are a few societies which offer help in the
