Remarks

The college has all the necessary infrastructure,facilities and equipment. Labs are maintained very neatly especially the computer lab it contains approximately 50 systems.The classrooms are quite small compared to other colleges which can hold up-to 70 students. Library is also very good. Hostel rooms are also quite okay.

I went to chandigarh from our college side regarding industrial vist. it is a 2 day trip And also we went chandigarh for placement interview from our college side. Overall placement opportunities are quite okay not so good and not so bad.

It was very memorable. I learned many new things and make many new friends. The knowledge I get from there was very helpful and it will help me in future as well. I went to Goa (college trip). It was the memorable trip and I make many new memories from it.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
