Remarks

The good thing was: 1.college campus. It is so much large. 2. Extra-curricular activities, however, you have to find it's existence by yourself as their advertisement is not so loud 3. Library. Huge collection of books with different topics. Moderate things include: 1. Faculties: It seems to occur everywhere that you will not like every one of your faculties. Same here for me also, I will not take name but some are exceptionally good in their knowledge then some just ranked as a professor. But their proportion is so less that you can ignore this. 2. Administration: I can't say the administration is good but I have to admit that they are not bad too. It's so simple to understand if you simply go to college for studies keeping your goal, then you will have no problem with the administration but another side, they are a bit strict with their rules which include ragging, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course: you will find the syllabus on the college website. They are a bit outdated with current industry demands, for example, they have PHP in their web tech. for others like Data structures, algorithms, OS, C, Java, those are old but very much required for a deep and fundamental understanding of technology. The student-faculty ratio was 50:12. So neither good nor bad. Some of the faculties have a great grip on their subjects but some are so much poor in their subject knowledge. The great vs poor faculties ratio is 9:3. Exams were not too much hard. It usually was taken in the month of May, Nov Question bank will be provided which turns useful most of the time. Besides that, I need a 1month preparation to score 8/10. And yes I was neither good nor bad at studies.

Placement Experience

3

From the 5th semester, I was eligible for placements. During my time almost 10 companies visited. IBM, TCS had 60% overall criteria. So I wasn't able to sit in that. But I am happy not to seat in that. The college will provide only 1 offer to 1 candidate. Means, if you have 1 offer letter, then you will not be invited to any other placements later on except its package is bigger than double. For placements, I can say deserving candidates got placed. But the package was not good enough. Cerner offered 6.2L, keros with 4L, TCS, Mindtree, IBM had 3.5L offer, remain offered too less that I don't want to share. Cerner recruited 12 of us( I was included). 28 out of 50 were placed. Don't take it low. Actually, remain were not deserving at all( except 1or 2 who didn't want to sit).

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Fee: In my time, the admission fee was: Rs. 76650, semester fee: Rs. 48000*5 and exam fees were: Rs. 1200*6, and yes 15k will be refunded and some extra for library late book return fine rs. 2/day. 2. Scholarship: They call it freeship. Luckily, I got 100% freeship for all semester (except for 1st one). In short, I didn't have to pay rs.48k*5. A tip for you, try to get a free ship from 1st sem. 3. HIT has a PNB branch inside it. They do provide education loans but against some assets. I needed a loan to back up my financial needs( I didn't know that I was lucky enough to get freeship every time). So I applied through the Vidhya Lakshmi portal. I got loan approval without any asset locked up. But yes, I didn't use that. Your fee structure might change but you will find the updated fee structure on their website. They did stick to that fee structure during my time.

Campus Life

4

Students do arrange fests but since I was not interested much in that so I can't rate whether it was good or bad. But yes, the campus is too big. Special fields for cricket, football. For sports, you will love this college.

Placement starts after 2nd semester. Top companies TCS, Maventic , Celebal, and Cognizant visit the campus. The highest package is around 10 LPA, and the average is 4 - 5 LPA. About 75 % of students get placed. after completing my degree, I plan to work in the IT industry .
