Remarks

College was near to my hometown and ghad a good reputation which made me choose this college. I loved the college ambience. I opted the course because I was clueless initially and civil engineering was better among the lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

Everything was good. Syllabus was very vast. We were KTU first batch students so we had its cons. All the faculities were equally good. The syllabus has been simplified now, it seems. Industrial exposure was good could have been better.

Class Size: 59Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

Infosys does mass recruitments. There are many other companies who recruit students and conduct yearly placement drives. There's an active placement cell in the college which offers all the support. There's a very good entrepreneur cell in college. And there have been many innovative startups by our college students.

College Events

Everything has changed now. During our time, there were not much cultural activities.things have gotten a lot better with respect to everything. But academics might have gone done a little now with fewer faculties.

Placement is there. Recently i got an advanced training by a leading automation japan company. So everything is there but our syllabus oriented class are not worth for a job. So getting placed number was less.

A bad college with good faculties

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course seems very intresting even though it gives some mental stress. In my opinion syllabus should be a little more oriented And exclude the importance of slogas since it is an unnecessary things to by heart

Placement Experience:

After 8th semester the students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Allen Solly, Kitex , Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger . Not high percentage of students are placed but some are. After getting the degree get a experienced and work as personal designer. Or fashion merchandising

I chose BCom because I was interested in the commercial sector but I wish I had chosen a college that provided better placement services. Most of the faculty members strictly read off the textbook and lack experience. Exams were conducted regularly.

Remarks:

Good remarks are our laboratory and library. These facility help us a lot for our study. The one thing and feel bad is our canteen. Our canteen needs more development. It require some more space and some standard foods. What we have now is average, we need a good canteen. All other facilities in our college are good according to me.

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

CET is known as the best college in Kerala so my first option was always this one. I did write jee arch. Though I qualified my percentile was not that great to get into IIT s or nit s.
