Remarks

Overall the college is good the management is very helpful in every aspect and i liked it a lot the faculty helps us in many of the issues and problems relevant to study or personal some times things will happen that are good and some times bad things will happen by mistake but they will always take care of each and every person in the college whether it is student or worker or any person.

Entrance Preview

I have taken AIEEE exam to join for NIT i got a good score 257 in AIEEE exam.As i am very interested in cse, i have opted cse in top 4 colleges, like NIT warangal, nit trichy, nit surathkal, and nit calicut. but i have got ece in nit calicut. i thought of later i can slide to cse but i didnt get.So better if u get the seat or u r confident what u want then only join the college. or else shift to other nit's i have joined this because it is nearer to AP, and the weather will be always cool new culture, new language, new friends etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is good it covers all the topics related to our branch every subject has something new to learn and also have link to other subjects so it was quite interesting most of the students take the subjects about their interest when it comes to electives there are core electives (VLSI , analog communication related) , cse electives that relates to programming, etc.

Internships Opportunities

College internship is good general stipend offer details i dont know but the companies that came here are morgan stanley, goldman sacks etc they have taken some of the ece and cse students with some good stipend offer .

Placement Experience

4.5

This year placements are very nice.around 92% of the students are got places both in ece and cse branches as compared to last year this year shows a lot of improvement and also good results may be the companies that are visited this year are all new may be hoping for a 100% placement by the end of this year.

College Events

4

The two major events that are celebrated here are TATHVA and RAGAM tathva is a technical festival which is celebrated in the month of october many events are conducted like tathva nites, games, proshows etc students near by our college and school students also participate and won a lot of prices students from other engineering colleged also come for participation. Ragam is the cultural festival that is celebrated in the month of march and here most of the programs are related to the dances, fun and enjoyment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure at the time i have joined is less and is around 35000 per year which is divided in some proportion for two semesters but the total fee structure is same for all years later the government has changed to 60000 per year from 2014 may be they have increased in order to develop the college and to get better quality equipment in all labs ,classrooms etc at present in our college there is a lot of improvement as compared to when i joined in this campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have got a scholarship for my 12th class marks as a merit scholarship from MHRD. In our college they also provides a good scholarships for the backward students who are from reservations and for the merit students also based on the cgpa there is "Silver Jublie scholarship" which will be given in the month of march for the merit students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is excellent the weather will be always cool and environment best suits for the study and play at first i am very much scared as i was new to this college and new language new faculty and every thing is new. later as days are passing i really liked a lot.there are many workshops and groups like robotics interest group (RIG), IEEE,ISTE etc and many activities are conducted on the weekends i am also a member of RIG we also have a ground for football, tennis, hockey etc and for indoor games also there is an auditorium where we will play badminton daily evening.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities are good. in first 4 students are allocated for a room the rooms are allocated by the staff only with the condition that 2 students are from local kereala and 2 students are from other states, so that there should be no gap difference among the students based on the stated and in 2nd year 2 students and 3rd year 4 students and 4th year one room is given for every student.the food is good and for each hostel there is one mess and rent charges are also very less and monthly charge is 600-700 based on electricity bills. mess charge is daily 70.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are very good friends when i was joined here, some seniors will do ragging so as to remove fear from us but we treated it as positive and they were also very friendly later on at the time of placements they really helped us a lot. the alumni network is very good recently our college has made a group of all total alumni and students, so that there shouldn't be gap between the alumni and students it also made a helpful in placements time.

Exam Structure

There are 3 tests totally first one is T1 i.e Test 1 which is conducted after one month of class starts for 20 marks. second one is T2 i.e test 2 conducted for 20 marks there will an assignment or seminar or tutorial tests for 10 marks later there will a end semester examination at the end of semester for 50 marks there are also lab exams which are conducted before the end semester examinations the lab exams are very tough generally if u get a good grade in labs, then u will get a good grade in total.

Faculty

4

The faculty are simply good they always motivate us to study for the concepts but not for the marks that makes me very motive, and many of the students are well good in concepts and as well as marks also since if u get concept clearly then u need not to study they always helps u in our problems whether it is studies or personal or health any issue they will try to solve.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.
