Remarks

Best and 100 % placements they used to provide, and the faculty are maximum IIM passouts with PHD. The students who are interested on banking sector and want a better designation can join AIM. There are some companies like _ Axis Bank, ICICI, HDFC,Asian paints, Hdfc AMC, merico are always visits for pre _placement. And the minimum package of our college is 3.5 lacs expected.

Course Curriculum Overview

Subjects are like_ Marketing, fiance, operations, Hr etc. Yes they provide enough industrial exposures. During the study period AIM provides industrial trips to understand the structure and work culture better.

Internships Opportunities

As a Marketing intern in Assam startup the nest ( IIMCIP) Government incubation center for entrepreneurs and startups. We did it for free, because it was on it's intial satge but a full time intern gets almost 5-8 k per month over there. Process was they took interview, later me along with my 2 friends helped the college to tie up with Assam startup.Now our next batches can easily get over there but they must have some multiple skills.

College Events

It's good. For any fest AIM used to book a public hall and AIM have its own space to organise any meeting or small festivals. Almost all kind of festivals are celebrated in AIM. Moreover there are some minor technical issues occurred during our time but I am sure that it's resolved now.

Campus Life

Free wifi, AC, sports facilities (indoor and outdoor), college hostel etc are available over there. Annually sports fest happens and the secleted cultural secretary of each batch are responsible to organise that.

Faculty members are very good in the institute

The curriculum that are done are not for MBA students like drawing dance competition they are not meant for us these things will never prepare ourselves for real world applications Instead they can do gk competition business plan debates etc Exam time table is to be rectified

Overall experience was good.

Likes

Campus environment with lot of greenery and with beautiful ponds in the campus .
Hostel was too big with all the facilities.
Department was too big with good teaching staffs

Dislikes

Hostel foods and bad hygienic and no floor mens to clean the rooms

Placement Experience:

The placement at college was good. The maximum package offered was 12.5 by Federal Bank and the mimimum was 2.5 by ICIC bank. The average package was 5.5. I got a placement offer from Collegedunia and I am very happy to got placed.

A look at TU for MBA program

Admission:

Once I applied to TU with my MAT score I was asked to come to the university for the GD and PI round. My GD round went for 15 minutes and we were given the topic about GST. In my PI round questions were asked about all my background activities besides academics, my reasons for choosing this course etc. Various mock interviews online helped me a lot while preparing for this round.

LIFE at TU

Remarks:

The MBA admissions are merit based. The basic eligibility was graduation with 50% marks and a CAT score. TU also conducted an interview and a counselling session once I was shortlisted. TU is a central university under the government, so they offer quality education for very less fees. This was the major reason for joining TU.

My MBA journey at Assam Institute of Management

Placement Experience:

From the second year, our campus placements had begun some of the companies are as follows. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI Life Insurance, Asian Paints, Federal Bank, HDFC AMC, Vishal Mega Mart, etc. The highest package was around 7.5 lakh and the average was around 3 4 lakh. Only 3 or 5 students didn't get placed and some opted out for placements to pursue their entrepreneur journey.

Placement Experience:

Placements start from the 3rd semester, Companies like Amazon, Baja fin, Bandhan, Axis, ICICI etc are prime recruiters. Sometimes university organizes placement events with other universities jointly. I have not completed my course so I cant share my own placement experience.
