Remarks

I prefer this college because it is very near to my house, also the teachings in the college is very good. But there is some bad aspects also have in the college, freedom given to students is very less and also no mobile phones are allowed in our college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because i love construction. In our college each class has approximately 50-60 students. The minimum qualitification of teachers teaching there were M.TEK. On each sem there is two internal exams. It is conducted by college. Only a brilliant student can pass all exams. Others will definitely fail atleast one subject.

Course Fees: INR 82400 per year

Internships Opportunities

Me and my friends do internship at first year. We do internship at company Habitat Technology group at poojappura.They teach us different practical civil engineering aspects.

Placement Experience

The 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. There were well known companies like infosys,ibs, etc..My plan is after getting degree i will look for a government job.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fees is very high around 83400 each year. The scholarship were given to brilliant students.

Campus Life

Our college has annual fest and also diiferent tech festivals.college fest were conducted at almost march and our tech fest is at april. The library has many range of books. College also have sports and extra curricular activities. We have also different clubs like nature club, magazine club etc...

There is an interview before the admission. It is a small interview. Mainly we will get admissions by our percentages of mark by 12th & 10th.

Overall good college.

Placement Experience:

For other branches, the placement cell is quite good but for food technology, the placement is less. Although we have a few. Training is given for placement aptitudes.

The college infrastructure is very disappointing. The buildings are at the verge of collapsing. There is not enough space to breathe free. The bench and dusk are in shortage and are of bad quality

Remarks:

It is a really good college if academic is your only aim. It has a very good atmosphere for studying and really calm it is. But the other aspects are not really inspiring and viable. The college doesn't promote other activites.

Postive-The teaching is good and most of the teachers put their full effort. Negative-Poor infrastructure and no proper labs which make it very difficult for students.The college library is only for name sake and is very poor

Remarks:

Positive - very close to town, so it's easy to access. Near to railway junction too. So it's easy for the students to reach the home town. The other positive is that it is close to Kerala kalamandalam, poomala dam etc.

The admission can be taken under government merit, management quota and NRI quota. For getting admission in the government quota, a KEAM score will be considered, and you need to have a rank above 30000 to get shortlisted. There is a reservation for certain Christian communities. For admission under government merit, you should write the KEAM exam, wait for the result and then opt for Mar Baselios College and your option will be submitted after paying a fee of rupees 10000 to CEE, which will be later refunded from the college. After getting an allotment you have to attend college, attend counselling sessions and pay the fees. The fees will be Rs 1,96,000 for the 1st year, which includes 100000 as an interest-free refundable deposit, and 10000 rs as special fees. For the management quota, you have to apply on the college website and based on the 10, 12 exam ranking and KEAM rank, the branch will be allotted.
