Remarks

College management is quiet strict and they don't listen to a word cadets have to say but this is because they believe by doing so they are helping us to become strong for our jobs and life at sea.

Entrance Preview

The college takes its own entrance examination that is quiet easy to pass it is divided into sections such as maths, go, English, physics all basics then you have to go through a medical test conducted here in college and then a personal interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Courses are available for choice whichever you choose, both of them have their own importance in the Marine field B.Tech is 4 year course and BSc. Is a 3year course. B.Tech is for the cadets that choose to be on technical side and BSc can be chosen by those who want to be on the deck side. The engine side cadets rank upto the chief engineer and BSc cadets rank to the captain.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements Is not for everyone those who work hard get it as simple as that no of companies that visit the campus for every batch is limited so cadets have to really work hard to at least get selected for the company interview a good command in spoken and written English language is the base to bag Placements.

College Events

0.5

There are no fests that are celebrated in this college cadets have to lead a very disciplined life here so that they can survive the worst of circumstances on the ships. The manifest can sometimes be expected and is organised well but make sure if you are a fun loving person do not take admissions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive very expensive 14 lakhs for a 4 year degree 9 laksh for 3 year BSc we do not get adequate facilities according to the fee but this is to make us strong for the further difficulties that we would be facing on the ships we are made physically and mentally fit for our jobs ahead.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities are offered scholarships are for those who score good in the end exams who top the exams get a particular amount of scholarship.

Campus Life

3

Campus life gets boring gender ratios are truly low as the field is quiet different less number of girls opt for this course so it is the boys who form the majority yet as in this profession gurls are respected they are given equal status here and have a separate hostel and guided by a separate warden.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Mess food is a mess no one likes it here of course that's because people get bored of the same food prepared. Hostel facilities are not that good according to the fees that we pay could have been better water is really hard and many people experience hairfall because of the water here.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are surely helpful they are more helpful than the teachers or wardens can ever be seniors help with notes and any problems faced with the wardens too.

Exam Structure

We have sessionals and final exams 6 subjects in theory and 2 subjects in practical every semester 80 masks theory paper and 20 are internals that are awarded according to marks in sessionals. It's easy to score good marks if you study from the starting.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty overall is good but the Marine faculty is the best here they are banks of knowledge for those who are interested in learning the other faculty on the other hand is average but what they teach is enough for cadets to pass their exams B.Tech cadets face problems with the faculty over issues as the faculty is less understanding as compared to the faculty of bsc.
