Remarks

Being part of MIT ADT University there are some disadvantages of not being a regular student. We always need to be in our best behaviour, need to be always dressed in uniform in college function and a high penalty of suspension is followed if presented differently.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I will say it is well designed and narrated throughout 3 years with guidance from master mariners. It includes practicals done with real man labour hardship and also provide inspiration through high tech simulator which gives a real feel of being onboard a ship.

Internships Opportunities

Internship will be my training time as deck cadet. It is compulsory for a bsc cadet to do 12 months of sea service before applying for the certificate of competency (marine license). Stipend or the salary is quite high around 6 lakhs for an it company and 4 lakhs for rpsl company.

Placement Experience

4

Many companies came for the placements for my seniors but my batch was a little unfortunate in this matter but still most of the good and average students get placed in very good and reputed companies.

College Events

2.5

I will just name the events For sports there are vishwanath sports meet, intermaritime sports meet, mit sports meet and pune sports meet funded and organise by mit all as national level sports function. For other functions it will be mit fest, manifest, music fest and some festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Course fee including stay, mess, laundry and college tuition fee would be around 9 lakhs and depending upon person another 20000 to 50000 should be enough for 3 years as estimate. I would believe it to be fair according to the facility and practical workshops provided by the college

Fees and Financial Aid

There are not much but there are some for first and second rank holders per semester and some for the sports. For first rank holder there are about 50000 rs scholarship and for second rank holder there are around 25000 rs scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Best in field of sports, every game is available in store and good big playground which is sufficient for most game, a 100 × 50 m swimming pool. And a lake nearby for rowing. Activity Are lot every morning 6:00 am to 7:00 am morning pt or parade. In the evening for some batches parade is there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I will say good. The hostel is always clean. Bathrooms are always clean. One room to share for 3 person but well settled study table and almiras. Although the staff is really strict about timings, there are regular inspection of room every week.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes most of them are helpful but most also are selfminded and not so much encouraging. But as soon as they leave college getting in touch becomes very difficult as they have to for there sailings time.

Exam Structure

Semester system is in place for exam which comprises of 30% of marks are considered of midterm 10% of behaviour and discipline and 60% of end term exam. Minimum passing is 60% for most subjects and 70% for few subjects.

Admission

I have applied for the manet cet exam which was a multiple choice exam with physics, chemistry, mathematics and english. The level of exam is a little higher than 12th standard. After passing the exam I received a mail from the college explaining the selection process, which was done in three phases. The students who passed the written test need to come from the interview and medicals done in the college premises, students who passed the exam and have more than 70% in pcm are placed in for first batch then students with 65 to 70 % and finally students with 60 to 65 %. Students having pcm%<60% and with marks in English less than 50% are not eligible for course. Medicals are as per dg shipping regulations for deck cadets.

Faculty

5

Bsc faculty includes only captains and some retired chief Engineers who will teach you discipline along with the course and tell you stories about their time onboard. Every lecture is a merge of theoretical study and experience of the captain.

Placement Experience:

After taking admission in the college, the placement drive is started for the student immediately from the second semester. All the information about which is sent to the class wise group and if the student is eligible, you can apply immediately after seeing your experience. The experience is very beautiful. You learn new things. You also understand how the interview round is conducted and what the eligibility is. Most of the companies that come to the college include renowned companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Deollite, etc., which hire students. The biggest package of Rs 7 crore per NM has been given so far from Sandeep University in the entire Nashik district.Which is a matter of great pride. Sandeep University is the only college where the largest job fair seminar in Maharashtra is attended. In which students from all over Maharashtra come and give live interviews to companies that have come to the college, give their region and announce hiring on the spot. Therefore, this college provides the greatest opportunity for students to meet all the renowned companies under one roof in one place. During the interview, the student's critical thinking skills and his/her inclination are shown rather than CGP and marks to determine whether he/she is eligible or not. In my experience, the college provides such strong education that at least four students are placed in companies every week. I am currently completing my graduation and will be starting my career immediately after that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been thoroughly impressed with the course curriculum for its relevance and comprehensive approach to both theory and practice. One major aspect that influenced my decision to choose this course was its emphasis on practical application and real-world problem solving. The curriculum integrates current industry trends and case studies, which immediately appealed to me because it offers not only theoretical knowledge but also valuable hands-on experiences. The structure of the curriculum prepares students well for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. For instance, the course modules are designed to build a strong foundational understanding while progressively introducing complex topics. This approach ensures that students are capable of tackling challenging scenarios in professional settings and are well-prepared for advanced research or academic opportunities. The practical assignments, group projects, and internships provide direct exposure to industry practices and enable us to apply what we learn in a realistic context. Despite these strengths, there is always room for improvement. The course curriculum could further benefit from increased interactive teaching methods, such as more frequent workshops and peer-to-peer learning sessions. Incorporating regular seminars by industry experts would also add practical insights. Additionally, the frequency and timing of exams sometimes feel overwhelming. Although the exam difficulty level is fair and encourages a deep understanding of the material, scheduling them away from major project deadlines could alleviate some unnecessary stress. Overall, I find the curriculum to be robust and well-rounded. With a few adjustments in teaching methods and assessment schedules, it has the potential to become even more effective in preparing students for both professional challenges and advanced academic endeavors. In summary, the course curriculum excels in providing a balanced educational.

The first few hours of the computer science course are very difficult. You have to understand everything. It is beneficial if you solve the programs in it repeatedly. When a teacher explains something clearly, it will be easier for the student to understand, and it will be easier if the exam is taken at least 4 times a year.
