I wrote CAT as an entrance exam, that is the only way one can seek admission here at DMS. I scored a percentile of 98.01. The cut off for making it to the short-list was quite high, I have batch mates who have a percentile as high as 99.6.

The curriculum has been recently revised and now has clear focus on two sets of skills: People Skills and Analytical Skills. It is very dynamic and cutting edge, it provides a great choice of open electives for students.The faculty here is par excellence, we have constantly been ranked highly in world rankings for research outputs, in which the faculty has a major role to play.

The department organizes series of conclaves and guest lectures on a regular basis. Stalwarts visit our campus regularly for interactions. We have two main events apart from this, Building India Inc our annual business meet and Parivartan, our annual cultural fest. The department buzzes with activity almost all year round. Apart from this, being in the IIT campus allows us to participate in all the fests that are organised at institute level, Speranza, Literati, Rendezvouz etc.

The fee structure here is the greatest USP. It offers extremely good returns, both in terms of learning and employment opportunities.e to be looked for.

Loans are extremely easily available here at IIT. Both SBI and Canara banks provide Scholar Loans at lower interest rates. The process of approval is also quite simple and finances hardly become an issue for any student.

In the heart of the city, the campus is always buzzing with activity. The sports infrastructure is excellent and state of the art. There are numerous activities that are organised in the department and at the central level as well. There are clubs for almost all interests and they provide great avenues for students to engage in myriad activities.

DMS actively engages with the alumni. We have a student committee that deals with all Alumni related activities. Apart from the Alumni meets that are organized, there are regular campus engagements with alumni in the form of lectures and conclaves. Our alumni are extremely helpful.

My reason for choosing this college despite having made into other colleges like IIM Kashipur etc was that the reputation of the faculty here is excellent. It offers great RoI and the location is another plus point. All these benefits made it an easy choi
