Remarks

It's near to my location and education is good, even the nature of teaching is very best, and the location of college is in good place. The transportation is also good and it's a government college. The education fees is less compared to private institution

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Syllabus was not updated.Very less industry exposure was given once in the entire course we had an industry visit and that too thermal power plant.Faculty were good, Dr. Dilip Kumar(Dept of Electronic and Communication Engineering) was the best among other facilities.Er. Alka Singla(Dept of Electronic and Communication Engineering) were among the best facilities.Er. Rajesh Pathak(Dept of Electronic and Communication Engineering) were among the best facilities.

Internships Opportunities

I have opted to do internship from Webhops Pvt Ltd, Jaipur but that was stipend less.

Placement Experience

5

The placement of the college is average and so only top scorers make into getting job after the college is over. The alumni network is growing now a days and now the placement statistics is improving. I was able to get a job in campus placement but not all from my batch were having a job after that finish the course.

College Events

4.5

We have 2 main fests.Technical fest- instruo cultural fest- rebeca. We wait entire year for them.Various students from different colleges come and participate.we have a team for both the fests and everything happens as we are guided. Then there is after party (where we are all high.xd)

Campus Life

5

The campus infrastructure was awesome. We were provided with free wi-fi and we had a Central Library and digital library too included in itself. The labs were equipped with the necessary machinery and all the labs were working in good condition.

Hostel Facilities

5

I have opted for hostel and in my point of view the campus is awesome. It is full of greenery all around. The hostel was equipped with mess into it.We were not charged separate for our hostel as such because the rent for living in hostel was included in the semester fees of ₹26000 so we were charged for our food per month that was costing us ₹2500 per month. It is easy to avail the hostel facility as everyone has to live in hostel because after admitting in the campus all are allotted the hostel. If you want to live without hostel then that is also available but that will be highly expensive as you have to book your pg and all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
