Nandini's Review On Satyawati College, New Delhi

I choose this university because it's one of the oldest and best university, funded by government so the fees is also very nominal which can be afforded easily. Apart from this other factor was my dream of going to Delhi for further studies and get economic independence as now in Delhi I work with a rock band and earn 10k per month. The environment and competition level in metro cities are much higher which makes student stand up on their own. This was also my reason for opting Delhi University.

Academics is a positive point for my college as the teachers are well qualified and deliver lectures in such a way that even boring topics sounds interesting. As history is claimed to be most boring subject but that's not true when you have such great set of faculty. Especially Mr. Raman Singh sir, he makes us learn topics while making a drawing on the blackboard through which we perceive it much faster.

Placement remains a problem for BA graduates in any discipline. Although we get several internship opportunities either paid or unpaid but generally students go for internships out of the college learning new skills. Our previous batch got max. pay of 1lakh per year. It's really very hard to get good palcements.

Campus life is very good and it totally depends on the friend circle you have and how crazy your group is. We have fest in the month of march starting, it's one of the huge fest in DU organised by us in which almost 1000 students come and enjoy. We have DJ night, singers coming to perform, mela in the playground. We give entry on the basis on pass which is given to college students and if can arrange pass you will get the entry.

Campus infrastructure is not so good as there are several problems like cleanliness, proper electricity. Apart from this college is quite good. Library is quite big, with different divison for reading and issuing books, magazines, newspapers. Library is fully covered with centralized AC and proper ventilation. Sports facilities are provided like basketball, cricket, kabaddi, badminton, volleyball.
