Coming from a hardcore manufacturing background, the role demanded to be a mediator between technicians/operator and the HR department and acting as a frontline HR for the technicians. This over a course of time developed interest and also some empathy towards people demands and needs.Indians institute of Management Ranchi being the only IIM to offer specification in HR and the fastest rising IIM amongst the new IIMs was the go to target and so prepared myself to give interview communicating as if already an HR, with confidence and a constant smile.This my interest for human resource management, and the college's excellent curriculum and strong academic foundation was the best place to build on my interest and leverage on my skills

A heavy amount of research and time is invested by the faculties and team to decide on the best and most relevant subjects to be offered as electives after providing a strong foundation if MBA basics. A wide plethora of subject offering and highly knowledgeable and experienced visiting faculties who are also industry stalwarts make a perfect blend of textual and experiencial learning.

Various companies offering roles in various finding visit the campus every year. Companies from almost all industries visit the campus. Around 120 companies visit the campus giving placements to 240 students offering roles in strategy, consulting,marketing and sales, Human Resource(departments like compensation and benefit, training and development, Talent acquisition, consulting,IR) Operations And analytics.The visiting company conducted various selection rounds including aptitude tests, group discussions, case studies and various rounds of personal interviews.

Best In class hostels with big rooms, facilities like gym, TV, indoor sports like table tennis, carom etc with a close to the nature picturesque backdrop makes it a place to live and enjoy. The library is has a huge collection of offline as well as online books and hosts terminals like bloomberg for study and research.Simulation based experience are offered to give a hands on learning experience on the computers.

The hostel its the highlight. The rooms are spacious with stayed toilets and galleries in many rooms. The housekeeping is at its best and every floor has faculties like a washing machine, RO water purifier and a geyser in every washroom.The mess provides meals for all 4 times with a huge breakfast spread and a menu that changes after every 2-3 months.The hostel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and feels as good as your home with many local residents also sharing the premises.
