Remarks

I heard about the college from my colleague's who were studying in cmrit and they gave a good review of the college and after finding out ratings and reviews about the college online I decided on choosing it. I even visited the official site of CMRIT www.cmrit.ac.in and went through the reviews and saw the NAAC A+ credits. I even saw good reviews about the college from college duniya , shiksha. I visited the campus and liked it even though it's a bit far from my house but it's fine as long as I get good teachers and staff who will help me build my career. Also my friends told me about their TYL (tie your laces program)placement cells and how they have good placements and good company recruitment which is really important while checking out colleges because in the end after college you need a job so I decided to finalize with this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was really confused about what course I should opt for especially between cse and ece...after a lot of discussions and course reviews and syllabus from collegedunia, shiksha and some youtube vids for reference I finally decided to go with ECE. One of the important features of CMRIT is that they provide coding classes for every branch (from cse to mech). The faculties are really kind and helpful and always there when needed. We have a good amount of faculties in every branch and many professors with PhD's and masters. The teaching methods are simple , subjects are divided module wise and experiments, live models, revisions ,quiz, flip-class, presentations, off-campus studies visiting different companies are done to make the students understand well. We have a total of 3internals+1 externals and they are easy-medium level to pass. If you have backlogs in1 0r2 u can write the exams again next year n will be promoted.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

College provides for off-campus internships being partnered with "internshala" along with on-campus internship as campus ambassadors. The stipend varies from no stipend and only certificate and experience to higher paid salaries based on the company and the interns abilities and work. There are also projects and research where u can take part and ask the faculties for any help required or even collaborate with the faculties.

Placement Experience

4

Our campus placements are visited with many software companies like wipro, infosys, microsoft, google, tcs, many multinational companies from korea, japan, usa, uk, australia along with core companies. The highest package so far has been 15-30 LPA and the lowest package is 2LPA (approx.) The employment rate is high with many students getting placements on-campus and training starts from 1st year itself with aptitude and coding. Internships are available from 2nd year and company recruiting starts from 3rd year. After getting my degree I want a job in Japan or Korea.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since i got into the college through kcet my fees is around 86,000-87,000. I guess for cometk and direct admission the fees range is from 2 lakhs-4 lakhs. Also fees differ based on the branch you choose. There are many scholarships provided given based on your performance. The fees is flexible and can be paid in installments too. Job offers we have starting package from 3LPA to highest package being 15-30 LPA based on the student performance and the company recruiter.

Campus Life

4.5

We have a lot of activities held in CMRIT. There are many technical + non-technical clubs run by students who hold many events on a daily basis. There are so many events conducted that you can't even decide on which one to participate in. Our college has a big library with all subject books for all semesters present and many reference books too and that's not all, they also have online resources with computers available in the library so if there is any book not available u can log in through college id and access it online either from the library or from your personal device anywhere anytime! Classrooms are fitted with screens where u can give presentations. We have many sports clubs which u can join like table tennis, cricket, football ,yoga ,badminton, etc. and we have sports day conducted in the month of septembre. We have our own college fest CULTURA held every year in feb with many events to participate(tech n non tech) [winners get cash prize too] ,games, DJ night ethnic day, etc.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
