Remarks

Pes Institute of technology and management, Shimoga was my dream institution to get admission in this, and is also near to my location so I choose this institution. Education is good and environmental is friendly... coming to the infrastructure , it has amazing infrastructure.. faculty also very friendly...have many pros... But the con is timings, full working days from 8 or 9 am to almost 4 or 5 pm . (This timings will be for 1 and 2 year of your engineering) But leaving this con pes Institute is really good institution..

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have opted electronics and communication engineering as my course. I have admitted to this course because I love working with the circuits. and is the only special course in which further you can do software jobs or hardware which you want.. so I took this course ... Coming to talk about faculty , they were amazing. Friendly nature . Faculty qualification is some of them are PhD holders and others are msc , BE or any other double degree holders. There teaching methods is really good for some topics they teach practically and use ppts presentation and on board teaching... really good.. Exams will appear for once in 6 months, semester examinations. And as electronics and communication engineering student I suggest you all from myself that if you are really good in circuits and programming than it is really good but for some who are intermediate in knowledge of circuits, equations and programming .than it will be little tough. Although I want to say you that " Hardwork is key to success"

Internships Opportunities

4

I did my internship from tech fortune technologies Bangalore .and it is quite good.there are many companies stipend with our institution so you can join in any of them..... They do practically, give projects and assignments...and for your final semester the marks will be considered...

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited like TCS, tech Mahindra, ABC , tech fortune , Infosys,Wipro and all...there at least 4 students hired in each company.and minimum they will call 30+ companies... May be 40% students will be placed. After completion of degree now I'm searching for job..

Fees and Financial Aid

Coming to fee structure , if you joined from the ranking of your competitive exams than you should pay only government fees that what government will consider (I guess 54,000/-). If you come through management quota seat then you will be highly paid that is along with government fee you should also pay college fee, so per year at least 1,50,000/- you should pay I guess... But admitting from government alloted seat is worthy.. Here we will get scholarships and loans too.. Scholarships will be at least 30,000/ year I guess . And and career cell faculty is also very good .they bring trainings for us and many more. They bring lot of companies for us to get recruit...

Campus Life

4.5

Yeah there were fests like 2k20, yantra and all.. and was really amazing..they conduct annual fests, tech fest every year with great dignity . It will appear in the month of July , August I guess. Our library is very vast and hundreds of books are available.and journals too... They will offer sports too like kabaddi , khokho and crickets between inter college and upgto state level too... And coming to extra curricular activities this will be at every week or we may say twice or thrice in month... Yeah there are many groups , pages run by students on Instagram and Facebook, YouTube etc...

Interview Experience

3

If all you were from good Ranking of CET or any other competitive exams than you will be allotted for the college's as per you applied and just you want to do is submit the application forms and fee that's it. I guess. And they explain you about there institution , faculties, courses , fee structure and admissions achievements and all .. if you also have doubt than just clarify ..

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
