Remarks

The college is a govt one. So the administration is a but slow. However the major management is carried by the student body, so it is efficient.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is largely based on practical knowledge and hands on experience. There are trips, site visits, excursions which provide a holistic approach to learning. The experienced faculty also gives an insight to the real world. All these make the students better humans and professionals.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell is relatively new in the college. In this field, students are mostly on their own, in terms of jobs and placement. There are internship programs in the 4th year for which the institution prepares the students.

College Events

5

Every event and festival is celebrated with great pomp and joy. There are several events throughout the year. The fests and events are mostly restricted to the SPA students. Mini Utopia- fest for the freshersMini Athlos- sports event for the freshers.Athlos- major event where inter batch matches happen at stadiums etc.Utopia- grand cultural fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is feasible since it?s a govt institution, under MHRD. The college accepts SBI collect payment- online and offline mode. There is a security deposit to be submitted. Yes, there is a full breakdoen of the fee available on the website.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships offered by the school. For ex: girl child, underprivileged etc. There are also education loans for the students. However, I didn?t opt for them.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is fairly equal. There is no such majority or minority. The campus life in general is amazing. Each and every festival is celebrated with grandeur and joy. The students come from all parts of the country and abroad, along with ranging socio economic backgrounds.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior-junior bond in SPA is of special importance. Together we build the SPA family. They are very outgoing, helpful and friendly. Organisation of workshops, interactions and one on one talks also happen to familiarise the students.

Admission

I opted for architecture in order to contribute to the developing society and country. SPA DELHI is the best institution in India for this course. I appeared for the JEE paper 2 exam, and scored 99.8 percentile to secure a place in this prestigious institution.

Faculty

5

There are about 40 qualified lecturers, around 40-55 years of age. Most of them have PhD level degrees, and experience in the actual field. There is a team of 4 teachers for a class of 40 students. The team formed is a complete package to provide ultimated expertise of different teachers to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the forst year the faculty will make you do completely dumb and irrelevant stuff which is mostly not related to the real life. You will surely feel like and think in a way that why you are doing all this, but slowly the curriculum will get difficult and would have real world applications. In the starting you should improve your drafting and most importantly you should procastinate your work and should learn the importance of time management.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it is very practical, you don't have to be in class, you can go out, explore and learn. I love to draw and design. The faculty-student ratio is 1:40 Teachers are good and helpful .they all are architects and everyone has a totally different view of your design. There are 2 semesters, so 4 unit tests and 2 yearly exams, the theory exams are fine but the practical ones where you have to present your work in front of a juror are tough. it is not necessary if they'll like your design or not .so they can give you fewer marks.

Remarks:

Overall, there are lots of negative remarks on SPA DELHI. They do not even provide basic facilities for the fees they take. Even what little facilities that exists are very poorly maintained. The lifts does not work more often than not, the coolers for drinking water are outdated and filters unchanged, fire extinguishers outdated, poor parking facilities, no grounds for sports related activities, no air conditioners in the classroom for the unbearable Delhi heat, very poor provision of funds, non-existent placement cells, and the lists goes on.
