Remarks
I had opted for this college on basis of its reputation of being the most prestigious engineering Institute in Telangana. I would like to mention that we have a 75% requirement of attendance, we can manage it while doing the things we like. Principal and members in office are very understanding in all ways be it late payment of fees due to any personal problems or granting scholarships to students or the faculty writing the letter of requirements for the students who want to pursue their masters in the US. The environment is very peaceful, with all the trees and fresh air.
Placement Experience
There was 100% placement through campus. Companies like Oracle, Wipro and TCS hired students for an average of 3. 5-4 lakh per annum whereas the highest package offered was 6. 5 lakh per annum. For the previous 4th year batch. Companies like Oracle Wipro. Tata consultancy services and many such multi national companies came for the placements. Students also had an opportunity to get hold of government jobs like in TRANSCO. The placements are good. So if you manage to get the minimum pointer with knowledge, placement is guaranteed. We do get companies like Wipro, Accenture, Dee Shaw, JP Morgan and many more.
College Events
The college holds an Annual Award function every year for awarding the previous year academic toppers. Freestyle presentation and technical fests take place in the month of april and match throughout which classes do not commence and all the students from 1st year to 4th year participate. Students from other colleges are invited and many events are organised for their enjoyment.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is feasible and affordable. Osmania University does not have any type fee structure because it is government funded university. Fee structure is very meagre with an amount of INR 10000 per year for students via EAMCET and rs 199000 for students who take admission on basis of NRI Quota.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Scholarship is offered via the government of india which covers a full fee reimbursement(epass) and 3000 amount extra for student expenses. The fee and scholarships are reasonable in this college. No, the college didn't provide any scholarships and no loan facilities the only scholarship I got was from government based on my merit(mhrd).
Campus Life
Gender ratio is 1:1. the campus is completely free from gender religious or any other discrimination and students live very prosperously. Sports events are periodically organised by students such as intra college cricket tournaments and football tournaments.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel provides a not so elegant living for students. Even though it is clean and hygienic but is very congested. Food is moderately good. With non veg being provided 2 days a week. The hostel facilities are okay the rooms are on the basis of sharing beginning from 6 to 8 members. The mess is quite big.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an alumni association in the college which organises events for providing students with enjoyment and they support financially poor students with education loans. Everyone is well settled and high quality knowledge. There is regular meet at the college, they are helping us. Seminars will be conducted by them and provide us a way and give their best guidance.
Admission
The admission process for the BTech program at UCEOU is entrance-based. The applicants are required to appear in the EAMCET exam and must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in intermediate. I got admission after second counselling so don't feel bad if your not allotted a seat in first and second counselling try even in third counselling because there will be more chances to secure a seat as many students may shift to iit's, nit's later. For polytechnic students, they must write ecet student to procure a seat in 2nd year.
Faculty
The institution earned its name due to the hard struggle of the faculty present in the college. There is head of Department for each subject who oversees all the academic functioning and makes sure the students are given the adequate information they require to know.
