Entrance Preview

I took the CUSAT CAT national examination which is held during the month of april or may every year. All the students who are of science streme are elegible to write the exam.I got a rank of 742 in the exam. My first preference was mechanical engineering and the second was civil engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum has a well bulid structure, with well versed topics which makes the syllabus very vast and consize. The syllabus is revised every 3 years and new topics are brought in if they are needed in the course curriculum. There are two practical papers in every semester which has an importance equal to theory paper.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provides internship but only opportunity present in ample is to the software braches. As known the core brranches are lacking job oportunities also internships. I went for an internship in my home town. It was general construction company,in which i had less to do as i was assistind a junior enginer in the motor works. The compny's name was tatia constructions .I got the internship by giving an interview .The stipen was 7000 INR per month. In which i worked for 2 months approx. The over all experience was good as it was new to me.

Placement Experience

3.5

The Placements are good, but as a matter of fact the core branches are hampered placements as the core companies have less vacancies. Though the software companies visit the campus in ample, many of the core branch students are selected in those companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is economical as compared to other colleges .Its feasible. The fee amount per semester is 35,500 INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are made available to the students who need it bt he college from the nationalized banks. The loan is strictly leveled to the semester fees and the hostel and mess fee nothing more is included in it. College rewards Semester toppers with scholarships of 30,000 INR for every branch and and additional 10.000 INR if he/she is also an university topper.

Campus Life

4.5

The overall campus life is good. The campus is full of green. Though the gender ratio is very harsh in our department(mechanical).Ther is only one girl in 89 boys in our year. And the same is in the rest of the years. The other braanches have more of less equal gender ratios.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network is the strongest of our department. Every year the alumini meet is held and most of the alumini visit in maximum strength. The discuss about their change in life from student to professional and also their experience in their respective companies. They provide the current studying students with their contacts and help them when contacted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
