M Abhilekh's Review On Cochin University Of Science And Technology - [CUSAT], Kochi

I gave Cochin university of science and technoly common admission test exam and i got a rank of 3396 since it was a renowned government college. I opted to take admission in this college and right now i am satisfied with my decision.

Yes our college provides internship.Many of the startup company approach our institution for giving internship to bright students. Since in kochi Info park is present and being the best engineering institute of kochi students from this institution get internship easily. In the internship period not much but between 6-10k stipend is given.

The placement opportunitues here are immense for branches like CS and it for core branches few of the company like l&t and godrej frequenty come. For cs&it companies like tcs,wipro,u sigma,amadeus,snapdeal and many more arrive in those companies tcs and wipro select students in mass.

Many cultural events take place in our college such as vipanchika,xplendor and many nore.Vipanchika reflects the true color of kerala.The local dance of kerala the malayali songs all are very facinating. The festivals are very big last year the popular kerala superstar Mohanlal was the chief guest in the Arts festival here. Onam celebration also takes place here in our college all the boys either from the north or from the south wear dhoti on that day and they dance and sing and celebrate onam in joy .

The fee structure of the college is affordable as conpared to other private institutions.The semester fee is around 35,000 with a hostel fee of rs 300 per month the mess charges are around 2000.The seats in the hostel are not enough comparing the strengtg of the students.Other students live here in falts in group of 5-6 the average rent of flats is between 6-9k here in university campus in kochi.

I dont have enough idea about the loan facility offered here in my college.But the students from each branch who secure top marks in the exams are given a scholarship of rs 10k. Some kind of test also take place to provide scholarship to the brilliant students who secure top rank in those tests.

The no. Of boys here are more than the girls. There is no discrimination on the basis of caste,color and creed here. Students from all parts of India having different cultures arrive here and there is no sort of disunity among them also the local keralite students are very humble and they are always ready to help. There are 5-6 political parties here so strikes are regular here. I am also part of cultural society here i joined it because of my love for painting.

The senior students with whom i have interacted were very humble and always gave me good advice and were always ready to help most of them are now well placed in reputed companies .There was a seminar in which a old pass out student from our college came he gave us some priceless motivation and told us about his experiences which all influenced me a lot.
