Rajat Bhatia's Review On IIMV - Indian Institute Of Management, Visakhapatnam

One of the major factors was that IIM Visakhapatnam is one of the most successful third generation IIM's. It is even better than some of the second generation IIM's in many factors. Also, I have heard that Visakhapatnam is a great city and that IIM Visakhapatnam also has a beach facing hostel. I chose MBA because my ultimate goal is to start my own startup and I believe that MBA would surely help me in achieving my goal.

The course syllabus in IIM Visakhapatnam is up to date and it has even incorporated the present situation into its course. There is a foreign exchange program, which provides great exposure to students. There are regular guest lectures, which provide a lot of industrial exposure. All faculty are amazing and have a lot of experience in their respective fields.

Many famous companies like Amazon, KPMG, L&T, Wipro, ICICI, HDFC, etc visit the campus for placements. The roles offered are of marketing, sales, HR, operations etc.

Samaarambh, the cultural fest of IIM Visakhapatnam consisted of various fun events and performances for various talented students. IIM Visakhapatnam is also a part of Sangram, which is an inter-IIM sports competition, where in IIM Bangalore, IIM Trichy, IIM Kozhikode as well as IIM Visakhapatnam compete every year. There is participation in huge numbers In these events.

There is an education loan facility available for MBA students from Union Bank, Vizag at very low rate of interest.

There are a lot of facilities on the campus like a gymnasium, basketball court, badminton court etc. There is Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus as well as in the hostels. The library is having a lot of learning resources, both online and offline.

The hostel is beach-facing along with a lot of amenities and world-class facilities. There is a common area as well as a common kitchen in the hostels. Parking facility is also available in the hostels. Along with all that, the rooms are very big and have air conditioning facility present along with excellent ventilation.
