Remarks
The reason I chose to join Shiv Nadar University was because of its multi disciplinary areas of studies. The student has a chance to earn a minor degree along with his/her major degree. It also provides opportunities in various other areas. One can do his/her research project under the guidance of the faculty. The university also gives equal weightage to extra curricular activities. There are a number of clubs a student can join along with the academics. The university provides an overall development of the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for the major degree (management) was an amalgamation of finance, business, marketing, strategy as well as negotiations. It provided a holistic experience for the professional world. The academics as a whole is too a diverse area. Students can choose courses from various other streams to improve learning. For example, a management student can do their major as well courses from engineering and arts. The faculty puts in a lot of effort to impart their knowledge. It is not only class room based study but also personal development studies. There are a lot of projects for one to do increase their confidence and skills.
Placement Experience
The placements cell is makes every effort to get the best companies for the students. There is a 100% placement rate for the course that I have done.
College Events
The campus life is different from any other college. There are a lot of clubs for each students to be a part of. There are sports leagues and various other competitions. There is one annual fest, Breeze, that is a cultural festival. And various other fests during the year. One cannot sit idle in the campus.
Campus Life
The campus is located in Greater Noida and has an area of 286 acres. It is a residential campus and has hostels, dining halls, academic blocks and library. It also has a huge football ground, cricket ground, basketball courts, volleyball courts. It also has an indoor sports complex that has area for all all indoor sports, recreational centers and a lot more.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is very home like. There is everything one needs in a room. The washrooms are common as well as private, depending on one?s choice. The hoestels are sharing for the first 3 years and private or sharing for the last year, depending on the student?s choice. There are also AC?s installed in almost all rooms. It is a compulsory hostel for the students of the university.
