Admissions are done mainly through WBJEE but the JEE scores are also accepted. I got into the college through WBJEE and my rank was 13K. The primary reason of opting for it was the good things I heard from the students studying their and good placement records over the past few years.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum followed is provided by the parent university WBUT (now known as MAKAUT). It's a standard one as followed by other good institutes and universities.
Internships Opportunities
As it's a private institute there are a limited opportunities related to internships .However the college provides assistance for the Vocotional Tranings. If someone is looking for internships they can go to online portals such as internshala.
Placement Experience
The placement stats of the college is good. The main recruiters are the IT majors such as TCS, Mindtree etc. There is a dedicated T&P cell which provides assitance for the same .The average package is around 3.5 lacs,but some companies also pay around 5-6 lacs.
College Events
There is the college fest which is celebrated every year .Fiesta being the cultural one and the technical fest is Infoquest. Apart from these there is freshers party organised for the new batch every year. There are also various department specific events such as Electronics Innovation etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fea structure is quite feasible. It's about 40K for a semester including the tuition fee,examination fee etc. During the admission it's a bit high as it includes the caution money,library fee and other charges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Mostly the students avail the scholarships provided by the respective state governments. No scholarships are provided by the college by itself.
Exam Structure
We have two semesters in a year. The exams are held during Dec. For the odd sem and in June for the even sem.There are also 2 internals held during the course of the semester.And the practicals are also there.
