Remarks

Good infrastructure and faculty members along with suitable location and good reputation. Interest in mathematics, and other courses related to mathematics amd other sciences. E.g. Computer science, chemistry, physics, environmental science.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus was up to date and thorough. Optional industrial exposure for those who wish to engage in such activities. Faculty is good and plays an active role in teaching and other educational activities and workshops.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are not a strong suite. Very limited number of companies come in for interviews.

College Events

Multiple cultural, technical and management festivals are held throughout the year, with ample participation opportunities. Yearly programs are organised and held mainly by students, and responsibilities are distributed evenly among seniors and juniors.

Calcutta University has an active placement cell that plays a crucial role in securing jobs for students. Companies like EXL, Genpact, Infosis regularly visit campus for requirement and the average package offered to students is around 6-6.5 LPA. I have plan, go for Ph. My college is the best college never ever forget it

Placement Experience:

For the placement, out of 60 students of my batch, 40 students were got placed from campus placement. TCS, CTS, WIPRO, Accenture, etc. all the big companies came for campusing. Overall good placement got from my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because I loved the subject. Nothing more. The faculty of political science consists of 5 professors and our class strength is 58. The faculty is well qualified and they will cover each and every topic for you. But in the online mode of teaching, you will surely face some difficulties communicating with the professors and the regularity of the class will decrease but in offline mode, you will not face these problems. There will be 1 mid sem exam and 1 final exam per semester. There will be assignments and attendance also carries some marks (In our case, 5 marks per paper). The exams are conducted regularly and they were not much difficult to pass. The faculty will help you as per your need to prepare for your exams.

I choose this college because this college is one of the really good colleges out there in Kolkata. Also, bhawanipur education society, Kolkata is highly reputed and occupies a place under Calcutta university. I always wanted to go to Kolkata to persue my higher studies, as I'm from a commerce background and Kolkata is a hub for commerce students. The reason for choosing bhawanipur education society over other colleges was that alongwith the course-related studies it also provides with the overall development of personality. It provides us with a lot of exposure to sports, and etc. Also, the attendence criteria are quite lenient, which helps the students to pursue other courses alongwith.
