It is formerly known as Institute of Technology and Marine Engineering.  NITMAS is a dynamic endeavour of The Ambuja Neotia Group in the field of technological education. Facilities:

Library- The library has about 31710 books and 1795 titles of books. The library has OPAC facility to the students to access a wide range of online books and journals. It has 1422 CDs and 112 print journals. It has subscribes e-journals Packages-

Computer Lab- The institute has more than 600 systems and all is connected with LAN. Wifi facility is also provides to the students and faculties.

Hostel- Institute has 6 modern hostels of one which for girls. The hostels are full furnished and provide all basic amenities. In addition each hostel has a volleyball court and a basketball court attached to it.

Ship-in-Campus- NITMAS is the only college has the high tech ship-in-campus. It is an exclusive advantage aimed at providing budding marine engineers a hand on experience of what a naval entails.

Sports- There is two large playgrounds for outdoor games like cricket and football. It has basketball court, volleyball court and also has swimming pool.
