Remarks

The college is so good. Faculty here is so amazing. Activities which are organised here are so nice. Scholarship is also given here to the poor students who cannot afford the fee and good at their studies. The infrastructure of this college is so friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is so good. The subjects it includes are very interesting. The course structure focuses on research. Exams are not very hectic for the students. the teaching way of the the faculty motivates the students to study with great concentration.

Placement Experience

Placements and jobs are so good. After completing the degree the students get jobs with great stipend. These jobs satisfies the students so much. Some students get the jobs in between the course after first year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for this course is feasible. Mostly all the courses of this college has nominal fee. This course has six semesters. The first year fee is for Rs.11,480 and for the other remaining two years the fee is same. The whole fee for this course is for Rs.33,440.

Campus Life

Many activities are organised here. Students enjoy these activities so much and show their talent where they can show it. They participate in these activities with great interest. All the teachers support them.

Admission

To get admission in this college and for this course the candidate must have completed his/her 12th and with good marks scored in all the subjects. Some documents are required to get admission in this college.

Faculty of the college is well qualified, experienced and respect every student of the college. They are so good at teaching the students. Some college faculties are not good at teaching as they do not able to clear all the doubts of the students.

Likes

Campus is huge and contains greenary.....
Proper practical guidance are provided ok
Less language barrier for Students coming from other states 😞😧

Dislikes

Old hostel building with little facilities
Hostel bathrooms are little bit dirty it can be fixed
Practical classs are little bit far from hostel

Placement Experience:

Ig After 4th year we will be eligible for placements.companies like Amul,syngeta,wamul etc generally visits for placements Highest package is around 12lpa Also one can apply for government jobs there are plenty post after the course

I would rate in quite highly in terms of both relevant and competative the subjects are well aligned and current industry standards and current needs it includes both theoretical need and both practical need at the same time..

Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Likes

The networking and the contacts that GU provides.
Exposure to various aspects. Chance of self discovery
Great environment. Loved the campus. A great place to study also the Library and canteens. Connectivity

Dislikes

Too much pressure on students in certain cases.
Very slow processing of documents by the authorities
Very delayed results of all the semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

I like the infrastructure of our college.
Our college have enough rooms and halls to accommodate huge number of students
Digitalisation in teaching methods in all classrooms.

Dislikes

Toilet is still not clean as promised by our GS.
Lack of equipments in practical laboratories.
Cleanliness and hygiene are a bit off track.

The course prepares well for students as the acedemic results is always good which will make gratutides well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and the interships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which relases unneccsary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

Our department (botany) has well experienced and knowledgeable professor's who guided us both practically and theruotically which help us to gain knowledge at a faster rate

As a student of Aryavidyadpeeth college, it is very difficult to be part of our college,as the department is very popular

My thoughts about my college

Likes

Faculty members of our college is very good
The thing i like that teacher in our college use projector to teach us
In our college, the students get to join various seminars, which college authorities provide us with time to time

Dislikes

The main thing which i disliked about our college is that our college campus is small if you compare it with other colleges
In our college we dont have clean toilets, and the toilets smells very bad
The next thing is that there were various construction going on in our college so for now thr college environment is healthy enough for a student to perform

As i want to appear for civil services examinations in future, so for me political science subject is helpful for my future career, in our department out faculty trach us in a decent manners, but there are some improvements needed with time

Friendly environment with a good teaching faculty.

Scholarly help and studying materials related to the course are provided by the college however the result are mostly based on self studying due to inefficient management by faculties. The college lacks proper workshops and programs to prepare the students for real world circumstances.

All the faculty are very learned and helpful. They make an effort and are very invested in our progress
The infrastructure is very modern with multiple laboratories and conference halls. Construction work is going on for increasing the campus area and buildings
Apart from departmental libraries, the college boasts a central library with a large collection of books, articles and journals

Dislikes

Need for a separate parking area for students
Canteen and cafeteria space should be increased
Seat capacity should be increased in the common room

The requirements for 1st semester students is to choose 7 subjects. Core subject, Minor subject, SEC (skill enhancement course), IDC (inter disciplinary course), AEC (ability enhancement course) and two compulsory VAC (value added courses) of EVS and AIS (ancient Indian studies)

I liked the overall environment of our college
My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.
