Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is relevant and prepared in a good manner. It makes students industry-ready. We had 3 assignments in a month, also projects, internship work, workshop which helps us to make industrial ready for the for coming future.

Placement Experience

If you have a good CGPA and soft skills, then you may have good placement. In our college, 55% of the students got placements. BKGC ?s Placement cell provides training programmes to guide students on interview techniques, group discussions, aptitude tests for better placement opportunities and guidance for Higher Education

College Events

University offers multiple opportunity to prove yourself as a student in projects and extra curricular activities. Every year many fests and events occur on the campus to promote awareness and to remember the culture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The program is for a duration of three years. The tuition fees are ?630, admission fees ?250, registration fees ?100, examination fees ?100, and other fees ?3395. The total fees per semester is ?8,600 for three years.

Campus Life

Under Skill Development Programme, College offers e-Commerce, Computer Data Care Management, Industrial Microbiology, Spoken English, Handicrafts, Performing Arts, and Media Studies. Both indoor sports and outdoor games facilities are good.

Admission

Students who want to take admission must complete some basic admission criteria. For UG courses, you need to have passed 10+2 with an aggregate 50%. Merit list is based on Aggregate marks in specialisation.

Faculty

Teachers are well educated and qualified with has extracurricular knowledge they are very highly motivated and it's helpful for the students to get motivated by the teachers. Faculty members are very helpful and supportive.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

Placement are not so good but I can confirm you that if you are good in studies then you will have a min package of 50LPA .Every pharma companies in india or out india contains our alumnis as well as you will get a polite and respectful behaviour in every company after knowing you r passed out from Iopj .

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
