Entrance Preview

I had given IIT JEE and scored 22 marks. In 11th-12th I had IT subject and I have interest in it, so I took IT engg. Because of my low score in IIT JEE I didn't got admission in colleges near me.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well and proper managed according to exams. Unit 1 & Unit 2 are prepared well before the online university examination. A unit test is also held before any university examination. All syllabus is completed before exams.

Internships Opportunities

The companies came here are Chevrolet, Meditab, and many other middle range companies. Big companies like TCS, Infosys has not visited yet. If there are few first class students then they are shifted to another branch of DY Patil in Akurdi for interview of companies.

Placement Experience

Chevrolet 4,90,000 Rs Meditab - 2,45,000 Rs. Other got placed in middle range companies and got package of 1,15,000 rs - 2,30,000 rs.

College Events

Texellence is the main event. In which robotics, cricket, football, quiz competitions, Gaming, Annual program, fresher's party, Picnic trip,etc. Overall this college is good in all round activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible. OPEN caste - 68,000 Rs /year OBC - 34,000 Rs /year Other castes SC/ST - 11,800 Rs /year . Fees are not much expensive ..than other colleges. Fees can be paid through cash, Demand draft, credit card and cheque.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is not available. Only we can apply through government's EBC scholarship. They have tied up with Union Bank for payments and education loan.

Campus Life

It is good in all regions mentioned. Gender ratio is 28 girls per 100 boys. Workshop is well-maintained. All equipments are available for projects. Their is no intolerance at all in college ,hostel and Campus.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is not good at all. There are 8 students in every room. Food is very boring. Charge is 60,200 rs /year. It remains full. Water is not good. Not getting hot water for bath.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Honest Opinions

I have taken admission by qualifying the cet exam by 93 pecentile . The college gives admission through cet exams. The admission process is through CAP round if ur score is above 93 for girls and for boys the cut off is around 94 percentile and reduces according to category. If ur alloted with the college u have to pay full fees alloted to your category if you dont have the required category documents you will have to pay the full fees at the time of admissions .
