Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum has put focus on all the various sciences like physics, biology, chemistry. Also emphasis is put on environmental science and english which are a part of the curriculum. The exam structure is a semester wise pattern with internal exams in between the semester exams.
Placement Experience
As I am still pursuing the course, therefore I have not been part of any placements. Although our seniors from various departments have been placed in companies responsible for marketing, sales, research, IT etc. Even if a student doesn't get placed the faculty aids in getting an internship.
College Events
Freshers events and alumni events are held annually. Also cultural events like holding of durga puja and celebration of Diwali, etc. Cultural week is an active part of the college curriculum in which students dress up in their ethnic and cultural dressing.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure for five year course of integrated BSc-MSc is 1.3 Lakh Rs, which is paid separately on an academic year basis. The fees can be considered feasible since it can be paid in installments and includes a five year long course with a very good curriculum and faculty at our hands.
Campus Life
Annual inter department and inter college sports events take place that include sports like football, badminton, throw ball, etc. Us students actively participate in these events. My peers in the college are some of the most open minded and helpful individuals I have met.
Admission
I was allotted a seat in this college on the basis of my 10+2 score/marks, minimum requirement is at least 55%. Since this is an integrated Bsc+Msc degree, the selection criteria is a bit tough and special emphasis is put on merit based selection and relevant subject scores.
Faculty
Faculty of college is highly qualified and experienced since this is a very old college with primary interests in research. The faculty can seem intimidating at first but they are very supportive of their students and help us get through the struggles we face in studies and campus life.
